This place is really good. It was my first time here and I've been trying AYCE indian lunch buffets all around the county this month. Generally the food was fantastic, everything was good except the tandoori chicken. Breakdown: Bastmati Thin Rice - Fluffy and moist Masala Chicken - Tender, Creamy, and Flavorful Saag Paneer - Flavorful, delicious, creamy Mint Chutney - It was good with a nice hint of spice. Tandoori Chicken - Was dry, but this isn't my favorite item anyways. I come for the masala Pros: Great good, clean environment, and clean plates Cons: Not much variety, like other protein such as goat curry. There is only the basic items you would find at an indian buffet

Went to the lunch buffet. Revolting and potentially insidious use of cheap oil. Heavy beyond belief to the point of becoming a wash of grease. Gave the effect of drinking from a McDonald's deep fryer. Feel real bad immediately afterwards. The garlic naan was the *lightest* part of the meal. Imagine that! The the kheer was just like low quality heavy cream with sugar and some rice floating around. Flavor of sugar milk. Chicken was sitting out luke warm so I didn't get past a few bites (wasn't good though). Wait staff perfectly friendly and very attentive. Never going to an Indian buffet again based on this experience. I like heavy food like meat bread potatoes etc but this came off like flavored oil. If you're not constantly eating low tier fast food or similar I recommend avoiding.

Came here for the lunch around 3:40pm for the all you can eat buffet. I really enjoyed the mushroom masala, but I ended up having food poisoning. I am sure that this place is the culprit because soon after I left I started to feel bloated. I thought it was just me over eating and being a pig, but about 1 hour later when I got home my stomach was killing me. I laid around thinking it would go away. That was wishful thinking that didn't go my way. I prayed to the porcelain gods twice already and spent 3/4 of my shower throwing up. Yay! My stomach is almost normal size now, but I am sure if I vomited 2 more times I'll be normal again.

The sign for their lunch special buffet caught my attention, so my lady and I decided to have some Indian food for lunch. It's limited seating inside, so it can be a little bit of a wait. They had a pretty good selection for their buffet and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious! Everything was really good, especially the chicken tikka masala was really good and our meal also came w/ either regular or garlic naan. We really enjoyed our experience here and can't wait to come back!

I came here for dinner on a weekday. The chicken tikka masala was nothing special as I have tried better. It tasted like it was just scooped from the leftovers they had for the lunch buffet. The portions are very small for the price you pay. There is a lot of oil as the others have mentioned. I will not be coming back here again. There are plenty of other Indian restaurants that provide better service and have larger portions with better flavor. If dinner was not good, I am not even sure the lunch buffet would be any different. The tables are not clean and neither are the utensils.

I recommended this place for a small group dinner based on it's Yelp reviews. The place is quite small, so I would not recommend this place for groups larger than 4 people. Service was quick and the food was delivered fairly quickly once we ordered. My only complaint with the service was that we had ordered a tea, however, that took significant time to reach our table. We didn't get the tea until we had already finished our appetizers. The quality of the food was good! We ordered Garlic Naan, Mushroom Madras, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Khadai and a Lamb Biryani. The Garlic Naan was a little crunchy/flaky, but other than that the food was good! While I would not go out of my way to dine here again, I would very much be interested in a take out option if available.

I was looking for Indian food that was available late on a Sunday night and Yelp led me to Tandoori Indian Cuisine. They are located in a plaza on the corner of Bristol and Sunflower across from South Coast Plaza next to a handful of other ethnic eateries. The restaurant holds about 10 two person tables and creates an intimate setting with dim lighting. I noticed the buffet bar that many other reviewers commented on but only had the dinner experience here. Service was extremely quick and attentive. As soon as I walked in I was seated, handed a menu and given some ice cold water. The menu is quite extensive. I noticed that they had a good selection of vegetarian options, paneer options and plenty of different curries. I decided to play it safe and go for their Chicken Tikka Masala with a side of garlic naan. Of all their chicken options the masala was definitely the most expensive at $14.99. I ordered and my food was brought out in about 15 minutes. Considering how much I was paying I was upset to find that the portion was pretty small and they had definitely skimped on the chicken and added more peppers and onion to make up for it. The color of the curry was a bright, unnatural looking orange. I have made tikka masala myself and have never gotten that color before and don't know how it's possible. The curry was very creamy and buttery tasting. It was ok but didn't pack a punch. I ordered the level just above spicy and wished I had gotten the spicy version for more flavor. The rice portion was small too but they offered more rice once I was done with my first helping. The naan wasn't as big as other places I've been to and didn't have that fresh off of the grill taste or heat to it. It was doughy but was missing the buttery, garlic flavor that's characteristic of garlic naan. While the food was pretty mediocre, the serve was really awesome. I was checked on multiple times, asked by the owner how I liked my food and was given my check promptly. If the food had matched the service I would definitely return but at this point I can't say that I'll go out of my way for it.

Spotted this place while eating next door and with some buddies at work decided to come in sometime. We came in yesterday during lunch. Very clean place and organized. Management was present at all time and asking all tables if all was ok. Food was great! They had a buffet set up; very clean. Usually buffets tend to be messy, dirty as customers simply make it that way, but here they manage to keep it clean. The use of spices in their food is excellent. All of their food is very tasteful. Will definitely be back.

At $10 for lunch, this is a great deal for very good Indian food. Attentive service and regular or garlic naan is included. The naan was fresh (not sitting under some heat lamp) and multiple orders are included with your meal ticket. Going to a good Indian buffet may possibly be better than Christmas, Lunar New Year, Mawlid, etc. because it's the gift that keeps on giving: You will enjoy the Indian buffet as you do laundry since it could possibly permeate permanently into your clothes. The scent of Downy Clean Breeze + mushroom masala = cloud 9 You (and your significant other, roommate, or family member) will enjoy it as you go to the bathroom. I needn't explain. Your dog will enjoy it as you whisper into its hear and launch accidental atomic burpies. I lie. That is no accident.

So I've been to quite a number of Indian restaurants since it's one of my favorite cuisines and I have to give this one 3 stars just because they were not at the highest expectations than other places I've been to. Granted, the food here is amazing! Very tasty and flavorful! We had the chicken tikka masala and lamb korma and loved all of it. These dishes came with rice. However, here are some disappointments that did not meet our customer service expectations. 1. They gave out complimentary papadum (crispy Indian bread). They were like 2 pieces or one whole one broken in half. We asked for 2 more complimentary papadum since it was good and they brought back 1 order. Then later they said that this "complimentary" papadum is not free after your 1st or 2nd orders. We would have to pay $1.99 if we wanted more. That was a turnoff. 2. The garlic naan we ordered was just ok. Nothing special. 3. The restroom upkeeping is mediocre. 4. Overall atmosphere, it was ok. So I guess my rating is not so much on the good but their approach in customer service. The owner and her son were nice but just felt we were charged for things we didn't think should cost us.

Best Indian food! Dinner here last night was the best! Chicken tikka masala was the best I've ever had and the other three members of our party were very impressed! Reasonable prices and the owner is super hard working and awesome. Great quality food and delicious garlic naan.

Rice is not cooked, curries have no salt. Veg biryani has no veggies at all, looks like yellow rice. 1 star is because the chicken tikka masala is better than others. Won't go again.

Mixed Tandoori grill was very good and let me try all the meat/fish/etc. Good attentive service and the nan was pretty tasty. Checked in with another app and the lunch buffet was recommended so will have to go back and try that some time. Wasn't a big fun of the TV noise level but they were on some Indian station so made it feel like we were at someone's house having a meal :)

WOW! Dinner from here was DELICIOUS! We ordered the paneer masala and the fish curry and some roti. The combination of everything was absolutely delicious. The paneer was made perfectly, with that thich tomato sauce. The tomato sauce itself was super yummy already. The service was really friendly, they check on you every few minutes. The boss of that place was super nice too always making sure we were doing fine. I would come back to this place again and try their non-vegetarian dishes.

I decided to try this place because of the reviews. I liked it. The food actually had good flavor and some spice unlike most Indian buffets in OC that I've tried. I also highly suggest Haveli Indian Cuisine (called "Haveli Indian Restaurant" here on yelp) in Tustin. It's my favorite Indian food place. India Cuisine is now my second favorite.

The chicken tikka masala is delicious and the service is great. All of the dishes come with rice. The decor is not as cheesy as some places and they play great bollywood movies and other indian TV programming. I have only been here twice for dinner, but I plan on coming in for the lunch buffet soon. This will become my regular indian food place since it is not too far from my house and the prices are reasonable!

Saturday, February 20, 2010 We decided to do a group dinner at this very small Indian restaurant. I can see why the reviews for this place are so good. Service here was very prompt and they were pretty much on top of things the whole night. We ordered about 6 different dishes and 2 different types of naan for the night and everything was extremely tasty, especially the vegetarian dish that we had. The butter chicken was by far the best out of all of the meat dishes.

im here about once or twice a year when i have a craving for some indian food. its a great place and service is wonderful. the food selection may not be much for their lunch buffet but i find it complete. very unique if you havent tried and something different from time to time if you tired of the norm.

Yummm.. This place has a pretty good lunch buffet for about $9 and some change. The items at the buffet change, but they are all pretty yummy. I go here several times with my coworkers because it's near work. Went today and they had all my favs: chana masala, the cauliflower dish, the saag paneer (spinach stuff), chicken tiki masala, chicken curry, etc. All were superb ~ yum yum yum!

I don't get how people say this is a great deal. the buffet...yeah ok...a deal. but they shut it down after lunch. good luck trying to get that price for dinner....$15 for chicken masala! and when I asked the dude if it came with rice....he said rice was $3 extra. really?????? I walked out. no chicken masala is worth $15. ever.

Me likey Indian food and it's a bonus that it's so close to my work. India Tandoori is a smaller establishment with seating for about 25-30 people. They have the whole spread for AYCE lunch: white and veggie rice, samosas, curry, lamb, fried chicken strips, paneer, masalas, veggies, tandoori, salad and all sort of chutneys (dipping sauces). All this for $10 per person? I'm so in! I have a tendency to overstuff myself so much that I am full for dinner. I'm liking that the staff is very nice and the restaurant is very clean. If only they had that yogurt dessert that looks like mango lassi (like at India Cook House in Irvine), I would kick this place up to 5 stars.

We've been here several times and it never disappoints. I've read some negative reviews here on Yelp, but I've had nothing but positive experiences here. Besides, I've never found any restaurant, let alone Indian restaurants, that didn't have negative reviews on Yelp. Food is good. They have a good variety and it changes depending on when you come. My only complaint is the chicken in some of the dishes is a little dry compared to other places I've been to. But the flavor and spice is good. I never felt it was bland like some Yelpers complain about. I have to say also, the service is top notch. Very attentive waiters. This place has become a regular for the wife and I when we want Indian. Is Annapoorna Indian food in Irvine better? Yes, it is. But it's also further away, and good luck getting a seat for their buffet on Saturdays.

Went for a spontaneous lunch today.... it was DELICIOUS!!! Absolutely fantastic, and my favorite items were the rice with the peas and carrots, the curry chicken (YUM!) and the samasas (potato stuffed fried pastry pockets.) The service is excellent, the garlic-laced flatbread is wonderful, the place is clean, and the food is ALWAYS 100% excellent quality.

Very bad Indian food. No spices in the dishes/recipe were in proportion. The staff were also not good and were complaining about customers. I will never go to this place again. I was feeling sick after having meal there. Very disappointing. Usually Indian food is very mouth watering and flavorful but the ones which they 'cook' and serve are lowering down reputation of Indian food. Please do not judge Indian food based on their dishes/food. Not recommended!

This place is fantastic! Best Indian food I've ever had. Plenty of parking. We usually order two plates to share and there is enough leftover for one of us to have lunch the next day. I don't know what their buffet is like, but their dinner service is great. Very attentive wait-staff, but not the hovering, annoying kind.

Good food, decent sized lunch buffet. Their garlic naan is really good! They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from. It's a small place but it's still a good place if you're looking for your quick Indian food fix.

We went here for lunch a couple weeks ago. It's in a little food court by the corner of Sunflower and Bristol. They served up lunch buffet style with cool Bollywood videos playing from two hanging plasma screens. I love Indian food, so... I was happy. Well... I was happy until I tried the food. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad; it just wasn't great. They had the standard dishes, but I've had better tikka masala at Natraj. The vindaloo wasn't spicy at all. The rice sucked. The only thing I loved was the garlic naan - fresh and tasty. There are better Indian restaurants. Save your money.

Let me first start off by saying, I am not lover of Indian food. But I love naan bread and that's prob why I even eat Indian food at all. This place was a one item, two item restaurant, and they got smart, and did a buffet for lunch. For $8.95 you can have whatever you want as much as you want (apology for spelling) - chicken tika masala, curry, chicken vindaloo, tandoori chicken, aloo ghobi, daal. My favorite part of the meal is unlike another Indian buffet down Bristol, this place makes the naan bread fresh and bring it out to your table. I love both the garlic naan and the regular naan. The staff are friendly and wow, today when we came for lunch, it was PACKED! The food is pretty good. There is lots of variety of different dishes, but mostly made with chicken, one curry with goat, and I believe two vegetarian ones. There is a simple salad, yogurt sauce, mint sauce, and even a veggie samosa (alhough the samosa was a bit soggy). I like this place. I recommend it for the value for money and yummy naan bread!

Maybe they changed chefs? I had take out from this place again and ordered the Saag Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Masala. The dishes were not great. Very mediocre Indian cuisine, disappointing.

Lunch time rolls around for work on a Friday afternoon. My coworkers suggest an Indian place. My mind wonders....Indian huh? Haven't been to alot of Indian spots but what the hell...lets do this!!! So we head over to this location. With an open mind I prepare myself. BOOYAA!!!! Like Vishnu slapping me with all arms in the face. This place rocks for lunch. 8.95 is definitely reasonable. My coworkers and I gorged ourselves on the buffet treats. To be honest everything I ate was very good. The chicken, rice, naan and the sauces were very delectable. I went back for seconds I was debating thirds but I didn't want to undo my belt to accommodate. Obviously, I'm not an expert in Indian food but do you have to be to know what good food taste like and at least I didn't feel like I got ripped off. I would be definitely be back.

My b/f and I stumbled across this restaurant while doing some Christmas shopping at South Coast Plaza back in December 08. We went with the lunch buffet as that was the obvious choice in order to try a little bit of everything. It was $8.95 per person which is the typical price of most Indian buffet places. The naan was good, not too crunchy and not too gooey just how we like it. We have eaten at four other Indian buffet restaurants in the past and I would have to say as far as the "buffet" portion goes this is my 2nd favorite place. My first would be Ashoka but they closed down awhile ago :( The food here is definitely fresh, vegetable dishes were well seasoned and had good texture. I thought the chicken tikka would be dry sitting under the heated buffet station however I was completely wrong. Their proteins were all moist and yummy. Very friendly and courteous staff. I would definitely come back again!

Not bad. Got the saag paneer and korma curry. Saag was good, korma I could've done without. Prices aren't cheap but what do you expect for an area close to South Coast Plaza. When it comes down to it, if I'm having a mad craving for Indian food, I'll probably get some here since it's 10 mins from my workplace, but it's definitely not something I'd go out of my way to have.

$8.95/person for lunch buffet is a decent deal for the area, but in terms of the type of food and variety being offered, there are better options. There were a total of three meat options for the entire buffet, and they all involved chicken: chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, and another type of chicken curry. There is a noticeable difference between chicken that has been marinated in curry, and chicken that has been added to the standing curry sauce at the buffet, and unfortunately, this place chooses the latter, lazier method. The vegetarian options were okay at best. For those of you who expect a decent palak paneer (creamed spinach with cheese cubes), prepare to be disappointed. They serve saag paneer, which normally would be the same thing, but this one missed the cheese cubes that make this dish delicious. The naan (bread) here is flash-heated. It started off pretty hot, but got cold very quickly. I could tell that they don't microwave it, since the bread did not get hard when it cooled, but it cooled a lot quicker than what freshly-baked bread would, even during a cold winter's day, and no, it was not even cold that day. The only redeeming qualities about this place were the longer lunch buffet hours, and the service. The lunch buffet goes until 5pm, which is longer than other places that normally cut the lunch buffet off around 2pm or 3pm.

they have a good selection of items that are kept fresh and the nan flavors are a nice change. Only issues is they every time I have been there it seems lik the same choices it would be nice if they were to change it up every now and then

To tell you the truth i'm gonna have to try this place again. We tried this place because last Saturday was an Indian Holiday so we ordered like a huge buffet take out quantity. Picked up the appetizers around 6 and the entrees were delivered around 9. i was so excited to eat Indian food all day that by the time the entrees came i got too wasted to eat. LOL

The restaurant is only a couple of blocks away from the hotel so I decided to walk there for dinner. "Interesting" experience. I asked for meat samosas as a starter. The description referenced minced meat, once opened the first samosa, there was a layer of peas. I decided to wait for the entree. Because I didn't want anything too complicated I chose a Tandoori entree, with shrimp. What arrived on the table never saw a Tandoori oven. It was a plate of sizzling shrimp fajitas. In general, I've nothing against hispanic food. But when I go to an Indian restaurant, I expect Indian food. To make things worse, because the shrimps had been cooked with onions and bell peppers, they tasted only of bell pepper. So after eating ONE shrimp, I asked for the check, paid and walked out. On the pro side: the garlic naan was very good and the waiters very nice. But I will not return.

Their website says they deliver to a limited area. I called and asked and they said they didn't deliver. I even told them I lived one block away and they said no, They were very polite, but I specifically needed a place that delivers and they wasted my time by falsely advertising delivery.

Are rude to the handicapped .. I went there with my autistic son for lunch last Wednesday (actually I was looking for fast food to take out). In the excitement of being at a place with Indian food, my son grabbed a samosa from the buffet section, and sat down at a table without waiting for his turn in the line. The manager rudely asked me to take him out of the restaurant right away!

Why is it so hard to find good Indian food around here? I would say that my lunch today from India Tandoori was good, but it wasn't great. I got my meal to go, and the woman helping me was nice and friendly. The restaurant is very clean, and they have many tables. I got the 2 item lunch combo for $8.57, including tax. I had a choice of plain basmati rice or veggie, so I went with the veggie. For my entrees I got the channa masala (chickpea) and the eggplant and potatoes (I don't remember the Indian name). The "salad" that comes with the food is just come shredded cabbage covered with black pepper. It was served on top of my rice, which did absolutely nothing to make it taste better. In fact, it was a little unpleasant, so I scooped it up and discarded it. I wasn't too crazy about the rice, so I'd probably stick with the plain basmati next time. The chickpea curry was very tasty, but the eggplant was a little undercooked and bitter. It might have been better if the eggplant and potato chucks were smaller. The highlight of the meal was definitely the garlic naan. It came out fresh from the kitchen wrapped in foil. When I got back to the office, it was still hot, and boy was it garlicky! They gave me a jumbo portion, too. Actually, all the portions were very big. I didn't attempt to eat my whole lunch because I didn't want to slip into a food coma the rest of the afternoon, which seems to happen a lot with Indian food. I did, however, finish the entire order of garlic naan, and I've got the breath to prove it!

My girlfriend and I were craving Indian food tonight. This place was nearby and received 4 stars so we thought we would give it a try. YUCK! OK well maybe it wasn't that bad. It was OK at best. Good ethnic food is hard to find in the OC. I ordered the CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA and my girlfriend ordered SHRIMP VINDALOO. The sauce with the MASALA was extra watery so the flavor was very diluted. The VINDALOO tasted like marinara sauce. The food is overpriced IMO. Go to Artesia for some good Indian cuisine or even Redondo Beach!

Situated on the corner of Bristol and Sunflower in the same food court as Sankai sushi and Thasos Greek restaurant, this little Indian restaurant is a solid place for lunch. There is room to seat about 30 people. The tables are as close as possible limited the ability to seat large groups. Bring no more than 4 people per group. Decor is simple and nothing really to speak about. The staff was pleasant but nothing special. The food during lunch is a Indian buffet with the usual suspects; chicken curry, tikki masala, samosa, rice, etc. The food overall was fine, not the best you will ever eat but definitely not the worst either. I enjoyed my lunch. They had "goat curry" but I had a hard time distinguishing that from say lamb or beef curries. If you want heat, you may be disappointed. The base dishes did not have a lot of spice probably to market to a more mild crowd. They did have chili paste to add. So if you don't want a ring of fire the next day this place is mild with heat. The naan was OK. A few pieces were dried out but the rest was soft and tasty. The price was good for lunch buffet, only $8.95 until 5PM. Overall, I consider this a solid lunch spot especially for people who can't bring the heat.

My girlfriend and I went to India Cuisine for the first time last night, and I have to say, we were impressed. The first thing of note was our waiter. The man was in training. Despite the fact that he did not really understand what we said to him, and that we didn't really understand what he was saying to us, we still managed to order. I would not say that his service was good, but he was cute in a funny little way. So that made it alright. Plus, the manager checked in on us a couple of times which was nice. In terms of food, we ordered Aloo Paratha, Aloo Gobi, Chicken Tikka Masala. The Aloo Paratha was a very satisfying bread, mainly because it was stuffed with potatoes. My girlfriend had the Aloo Gobi, and unfortunately she found it to be too spicy. She had ordered it mild, but it was definitely more spicy than my medium Tikka Masala. Speaking of the Tikka Masala, it was fantastic. Savory and spicy, but in a complimentary way. I would definitely recommend it to the Indian Cuisine neophyte. Oh I almost forgot, 22 oz beers for $6.99.

Went there for lunch, and decided to pass on the $10 buffet and get a meal to take out. For $14.99, I thought for sure there would be enough for lunch and dinner. But there was barely enough food to fill me up at lunch. Way too expensive for the very little they give you.

The Buffet is very small but considering I only like a few Indian dishes it works for me........What I crave here is the Garlic Nan, and the chicken tikka masala with their yellow rice. That is pretty much the only thing I eat and crave at this place. The soda is usually very carbinated and the service is not great but all you have to do is flag the servers down since the place is so small. They play alot of bollywood movies and Indian usic videos on their tvs. Its good if you want to eat alot for just under 9 bucks!!!!!!!

My mom's been talking about this place forever and even my brother says its good. I finally went for lunch yesterday and I would give it a solid four stars, even though there were a few things that could have been better. It's located right at the NW intersection of Sunflower and Bristol, so park in the lot and walk down the stairs. The place is bright and well decorated, though small with an OC strip mall feel, so I couldn't really see myself coming here for dinner. Anyway, we were seated and our garlic naan was on the table in no time. it was super garlicky and piping hot. Everything I had for lunch was deeelishious and there were lots of vegetarian options. Everything was perfectly spiced, and didn't have the overfried/overcooked feel that some Indian restaurants have. I had the malai kofta, the saag paner, some chickpeas and aloo gobi. All were reaaally good, though the saag paneer didn't have any paneer no matter how many times I spooned through it. The pakora and samosas weren't as hot as I would have liked, and I definitely liked the samosa more than the pakora. Rice pudding was yuuuummy and my mom really liked the goat curry they had available. I left stuffed - eight hours and a gym workout later, I still wasn't hungry. I musta eaten a TON. I didn't have room to try the yogurt place next door. PS, it's $8.95 for lunch.

I went during their awesome 9.95 all you can eat lunch. It was amazing especially for the price. The buffet wasn't huge but it had all the good stuff you wanted so it was absolutely perfect. The garlic naan was perfect. If ever your in the nieghborhood between 11am-3pm and your super hungry this is the place to go! Actually it's super good so allow yourself maybe 1 to 2 hours, because even if your a small eater I guarantee you you want to try to get that 3 and 4th plate in.

Great authentic hole in the wall with friendly service, cheap buffets, and taj mahal, flying horse, and kingfisher beer. The first time I went was on a whim as I was craving chicken tikka masala and this place was the closest. Since that fateful day this place has become one of local favorites, guaranteed to leave me extremely satisfied. Their garlic naan and their parathas were excellent.

The curry was good, but the service was not. It was my second time going there and when I got there, I wanted to sit inside since it was kind of cold outside, but the guy insist I should sit outside. (I admit, inside was kind of crowded.) I told him I prefer to sit inside, but then he says there were no open seats available when clearly I can see there was one table open. So I just left and I will never go there again.

Digging on the tikka masala and korma. I love the Bollywood music videos that are playing on in the background! Will definitely be back!

The lunch time buffet is the best value around. I was worried the first time I went in because the price was so low but the quality of the food is excellent. The saag paneer is my favorite and the garlic naan is a must have. The chicken in the tikka masala is a little dry so I pour the sauce over these chicken tender like things they have. The service is decent and you can usually get a table pretty quick.

Food was just ok, our waiter was attending his cell phone as he was taking and delivering our food which was a bit dry but considering it an ok place to eat.

It's okay... they have a typical Indian lunch buffet for under $10.00 to accommodate us Indian food novices. I go back to get my Indian fix every now and again, but always leave slightly unsatisfied . I can't put my finger on it.

I am an Indian snob when it comes to food. I am always inquiring where the best indian places are and trying all of them! This is by far one of the best indian restaurants I've ever eaten at. Good lord is the food tasty and so so fresh and I've only tried the buffet! just plain YUM!

My fave Indian spot.. Come here for lunch buffet frequently. Always great service and fresh, tasty food. They always bring refills on the food so its fresh and not just sitting and the free garlic naan bread is amazing! Great price too! Recommend anyone to try it, even if you're not a fan of inidian food!

I was not holding much hope that this place would be good. I was craving Indian food and just hoped it would be decent. I have gone to pretty much every Indian Restaurant in Orange County only to be let down. I go to Artesia when I want decent Indian food. How I have missed this place is beyond me. I was blown away by how good the food was. We ordered malai kofta, saag paneer, chicken tikka masala and bharta(eggplant). All stellar!! They even threw in a free Gulab Jamun desert! My husband said it is the best Indian he has had outside of Mumbai. Go now!! Please keep this place open!!!!

Excellent Indian food. Would recommned the samosas, tikka massala, naan, and mango kulfi for dessert. I go here everytime I'm in town. friendly service too.

I can't imagine an Indian giving this place a positive review. Tandoori chicken tasted like raw chicken, everything else was bland. I saw a guy try to dine and dash on a scooter. I felt like doing the same. first time I couldn't stand to leave a tip in years.

This place is good for some quick delicious Indian food. The atmosphere is nice, albeit small, and the service is good. I highly recommend the paneer and the chicken tikki masala dipped with fresh baked garlic naan.

$8.95 for the lunch Buffet. There were 4 chicken dishes, 1 goat dish ( I didn't try), 4 vege dishes, Samosas, Fried vegies, Gulab Jamin, free garlic or plain naan, and a salad bar. I was in Indian Food Heaven. This restaurant is hidden in the very back corner of the two story center. The dishes were good to great and the cost was perfect. I will be back.

I am not a big fan of any Indian Buffet. They normally leave me thirsty for the rest of the day but that has never been the case with this place. We have tried this small restaurant on two separate occasions and were pleased both times. The Samasos were fresh and tasty like they had just been made. Tandoor chicken is also great as well as the curry chicken and the palak aloo. This is a small place but you can tell that whoever is doing the cooking knows what he/she is doing. We visited around 1pm and everything tasted fresh and homemade. It;s also super clean which is important to me.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place driving around South Coast Plaza. It's sort of tucked away in the same mini-mall as Ziba and Whole Pita, on the Bristol side, a little hidden. This place is a tiny, unassuming take-out Indian joint with all of the staples. The best deal is the combination special, which is either one or two entrees, naan, salad, and basmati rice. I had chicken curry (mild) and a samosa, both were very tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly in a really good sauce that still had a little heat, just the right amount for me. The samosa had alot of kick but was mainly potatoes - but still very good. My friend had tandoori chicken, which she also enjoyed. The "salad" was basically cabbage sprinkled with pepper and maybe some vinegar, but it was still good and was a nice complement to the spicy food. I topped it all off with a mango lassi which was very tasty (though nothing surprising). They stacked a plate full of garlic naan for both of us (perhaps because it was at a slow time) which had a good garlic-y flavor, which seemed to come partly from fresh garlic, partly from dried. Service was friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable for the amount and quality of food, especially the combination plate. Parking was way easy - the lot is huge and people are put off by the construction. There was a wide selection of both vegetarian and chicken dishes to choose from, and they all looked fresh and good. Bonus: no stomach upset! I'm really looking forward to going here again, this time for lunch with my coworkers. It fits the criteria - easy, good value, quick, good parking, and of course, yummy.

i was happy to find this place within range of my work, for my weekly lunch splurge. The staff are very nice, and talkative, friendly. $8.99 lunch buffet. Average amount of items. I liked their veg korma. i liked how they had additinal spices in their food i havent tasted at other indian places. overall i like this place because employees are nice, it is clean, food is fresh and good/not great, and i can watch bollywood videos while eating alone.

I noticed this place as I live along Sunflower, and decided to try it out one day on a whim when the S.O. told me that he had not had Indian food before. I was definitely taking a risk by trying a place I hadn't eaten at before, but I was not disappointed. I was not expecting this high quality of Indian food for the price. The spicy chicken curry and aloo palak were definitely the highlights, as was the lovely, warm, fresh garlic naan. To me, a good garlic naan is the backbone to a good Indian dining experience. The service was attentive, which surprised me since most Indian places' service is downright rude to fellow Indians. I will definitely be visiting this place again when I get a hankering for home-like cooking.

Let me just say that we went on a busy catering night so we waited a loooong time for our food. The food looked delicious but it was missing a certain spice. I had the lamb curry and my husband had the lamb vindaloo. We both agreed that were we to dine here again we would either come for the lunch buffet or try something different. If you decide to try this place before going to the theater give yourself plenty of time.

The $8.95 lunch buffet is amazing--affordable and delicious! The servers (who are always very nice) bring you a basket of warm naan straight from the kitchen--garlic or regular (the garlic naan is the best!). If you're a vegetarian, you'll be happy to find that more than half of dishes are veggie-friendly, and they seem to vary what they offer. Each time you go, there are a least a couple new dishes to try. They always have a spinach dish and it's perfect for dipping naan. My favorite. The samosas are my boyfriend's favorite. We come here as often as we can.

I have to say I really like this place. The service was good: fast refills of water, cleaning up plates, etc. The lunch buffet--although not too many selections--was delicious, especially the chicken. The place is kinda small though, so if you can make it out to lunch early then I would suggest that. I would go here again.

yeah!! love this place...love the all you can eat lunch buffet...so yummy! and the naan bread is to die for!! love, love, love this place! i am hear at least every other week and come back with a very happy tummy!

This is pretty delish. I ordered take out and got saag paneer, steamed rice, and garlic naan. Total was close to $19. Pretty pricey for take out! On the dine in menu, it says that rice is included but for some reason I was charged $4 for rice. I am a fan, but at those steep prices, I definitely cant be going back as often as I would like.

Tandoori is now a buffet for $8.95. Even though they changed to a buffet, they did not downgrade in quality. Quality is good, meat is fresh and they switch up a couple of the dishes to add variety. Service is good.

Great service, delicious food. We had the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, vegetable paneer madera, and the garlic fish. Seriously some of the best Indian food I've had. They also have a great selection of affordable alcoholic drinks. Next time I go to south coast plaza I'll be stopping by again.

I've been coming here for about 3 years now. The lunch buffet is good, but I really love their chicken tikka masala. It is one of the best I've had across quite a few cities and countries. Otherwise the price and speed of the service are good, although a lot of the time I end up ordering take-away.
(5)
Evan S.
It tastes good, but I've had equally good for the price. $15 for Tikka Masala. I can go down to an Indian cultural center and get authentic Tikka Masala just as good for half the price. Maybe if I was in the area and wanted Indian food AND I just got my paycheck I would stop by, but other then that, I would rather go somewhere else.

Came here for the lunch buffet. $9.95 til 4PM My favorite was the Chicken Tikka Masala accompanied with the vegetable rice and fresh garlic naan. So yummy. It's not the best Indian food I have ever had in my life however it is good and isn't bad at all. I definitely will be coming back soon.

If you're looking for a great Indian restaurant, this is the place to go! This restaurant has become a favorite for both my girlfriend and me, both for its excellent and friendly service and delicious food. This place has also become a traditional date night for us. I definitely recommend the chicken tikka-masala and the palak paneer dishes :)

It was a fine experience but I'm not sure I would go back. My wife and I had the lunch buffet on a Sunday, at 10.99 a person. There were 7 or 8 entree options which was generous. We sampled them all and liked about half. The other half were bland and none were spicy. They charged us for our second piece of naan, without letting us know that it would be an extra cost ahead of time. (If we paid for two lunch buffets, shouldn't two pieces of bread be included?) Customer service was lacking, the manager was there and not smiling. All in all, a mediocre experience.

Went for lunch with coworkers. The buffet line was super short and we ate so much! The chicken is cooked well and the desserts are so delicious. I will be going again and telling my friends about this place!!

Me and my family live in San Pedro, CA and went for dinner. I've eaten from a lot of Indian restaurants, but this is the best one! We experienced friendly and helpful service, AMAZING food, and an overall great experience. I definitely recommend the lunch buffet because you get way more variety for a lower price! It was fresh, it was hit, it was healthy, and just awesome Indian food!

This place is great if you love eating plastic. Ok not literally, but the food is almost tasteless and fake. I've been to India and many Indian restaurants nearby and this is the worst I've been too. Customer service wasn't great (waiter literally threw the dishes and check at us), food was terrible and fake tasting. I don't know why the other reviews praised the food but I suggest you try Kurry and Kabob in Huntington Beach and then tell me this food is even edible.

I Love This place! The Food is Always GOOD! The Price & Service is Fair. The Atmosphere is Casual The Place is a bit Small... SO you are Lucky to find a Good Seat.

Stopped by this place for a quick buffet lunch. The restaurant is located in a circular strip center, if that makes sense. The restaurant is pretty small and very clean. Standard items during buffet included tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, palak, gobi, etc. They bring fresh thin naan to the table. The warm gulab jamuns (dessert)were delicious! It's a great value for $9.95/pp.

You can't beat a better deal on Bristol Blvd, for $9.99 my cheap ass people reading this right now. The quality of the food is like your moms cooking. Btw it ends at 4pm on the dot, so don't be planning things last minute.

sister recommended this place. she said it's worth it for $10 ayce lunch. it's from 11-4pm. it was a small table of food but got me pretty full. there's like 5 different curries and I took a picture of the 3 I liked the most. I didn't like the 2 desserts they had. one was carrot pudding and the other was in a ball. there was a salad section but I was too full from the curry and fried rice to eat it. pretty good rice and curry! it was worth it for $10

Can't beat the lunch buffet! You know you're in a good Indian Restaurant when you see so many Indians eating there! Love this place. Very friendly, always eager to make sure you have what you need. Prompt, courteous and DELISHISH!

I have never had Indian Food before and my friend wanted to try this place out. Since it had good yelp reviews and a $10 lunch buffet you can't go wrong. I open the door to this place and immediately get hit with a foul odor. It smelled like the Indian guy who used to work in our company who i thought smelled like BO but now i realize it was the food he was eating. I was about to run away from this place because of the smell but my friend convinced me to at least try it. Once inside your nose will adjust after about 10 minutes and you won't smell anything. So we try the food and i was shocked! It was Delicious! Everything was good except for the poor selection of deserts. I will be back and recommend this place.

Not the best, not the worst. Price is on point and for lunch buffet what can you expect from food? There really isn't any place around the area that offers a decent indian lunch buffet. The chicken tikka masala was the best option but was missing the chicken and instead ended up with pieces of onion I had thought was chicken. I prefer authentic indian spices to extra spicy curry but can understand toning it down in a buffet. Can't speak for dinner service but would try it to see the difference.

Buffet only review: came in on a Sunday afternoon, and while the place was busy, the food didn't seem fresh. Samosas, while good flavor, were doughy and chewy. Pakora was fried chick pea flour and not veggies as stated. Aloo bagnan had sat so long that it turned into a soupy mess. Chicken tikka masala was left untouched for so long, it had a tikka masla film on it. Tandoori chicken was left too uncovered, resulting in 'jerkey' style tandoori. Service, while quick, was lacking grace. E.g. When refilling water, they'd bang the bottom of the pitcher onto the top of other glasses. Save you $9.95 per person.

Anyone going to an Indian buffet and expecting good food...sigh. That being said, order off the menu, always. The Chicken Tikka Masala is great but the Malai Kofta is a must have! The garlic naans are prefect here. Of all the Indian restaurants in OC this is one of the better ones.

Horrible service skills. You can't have such a bad attitude toward customers if you're trying to run a food business.

Not the best selection of food they only offer a few chicken dishes and the rest is vegetarian. The chicken tiki masala was very watery and the rice was kinda hard

4 stars for the food. Everything was delicious! Except the garlic nan. The vegetable samosas are more exterior dough than filling, but delicious with flavorful side sauces with a kick. The garlic nan was way over done. Not soft at all and can barely taste the garlic. Chicken tikka masala... AMAZING! The sauce isn't too creamy or too tomato out of a can flavored (you know what I mean if you order this dish a lot at Indian restaurants)... They add amazing herbs and spices and they include peppers in the masala sauce... I would definitely get this again... So tasty The rice... Normal taste...The serving is half the size of every other Indian restaurant. Cheap. The people who worked there didn't seem like they want to be friendly to you. Except a younger Indian male who was very nice. The restaurant was small.

I love this place! The lamb curry is so good and they make it the perfect amount of spicy (you can order it mild-extra hot). They have a lunch buffet, but unfortunately I've never been able to make it and I really hope I can one day because everything I've ordered here has been amazing! The naan is really good, warm, flavorful and fresh. All meals come with a side of rice and you order everything a la carte so you have the opportunity to share and explore new things off the menu. **WARNING** Indian food spiciness is a lot different than Mexican/Spanish spiciness. It's a lot hotter and they use different spices to make it hot. So if you're used to eating something really spicy in Mexican food, go for the medium spicy here.

Excellent Indian! I always compare Indian food to this place. But this place always wins. The owner always remember what we order, their chicken tandoori and lamb tikka masala. The masala sauce is to die for.

At $10 for a lunch buffet, how can you go wrong? The place is small - no, really small as in it seats maybe 20 people inside, but there's outdoor seating as well, albeit a bit of a walk every time you need to replenish your plate. The service is good - your water glass will never thirst and the buffet is well stocked with little to no wait time for the delectable food. The Nan bread is served warm and flaky, with just the right hint of garlic - MMMMmmmmmm! Show up early for lunch though so you can get a seat!

I dined inside. The decor is fun, and def has an Indian vibe. It's hip and in the the middle of a very happenin area. I could hear live music across the street on an off day, so I can only imagine how fun it would be on a weekend. The parking is on the iffy side. I had to drive around once to get a spot, and when I got one I had a little difficultly straightening out, but not a major set back. The aloo goobi was perfectly seasoned, but there weren't enough potatoes. The channa masala was a bit watery lacking of flavor, and the garbanzo beans were on the undercooked side. I still finished it all tho, and even wanted more, lol. Simosa's are lack luster. They're pre-cooked, and sit around under a heat lamp. By the time they get to u they're doughy, and the heart of it tastes raw, and dried out. The best part are the tamarind, and the mint chutney sauces, but the servings are skimp. Positive: The Naan is buttery, flavorful, and made to order. Also, they serve dinner on Styrofoam plates so u can just take home any leftovers w/o waste or hassle. The staff is fun, outgoing, nice, informative, and quick to get ur order in, and ur food out. Based on that alone I'll be visiting again, and I look forward to it :)

Staff was very friendly and the food was great. Had the lunch buffet here and one basket of nan (plain or garlic) is included. In the buffet, you have two choices of rice (plain basmati rice and flavored). There are a few selection of sauces (korma, curry, chicken tikka masala, spinach, and one more I think) There are also chicken, some veggies, and a few more dishes in the buffet. Food was excellent and I was stuffed when I left. Definitely would come back here.

I recently travelled to Fiji where I fell in love with Indian food. I had multiple great experiences trying some awesome places. Chicken tikka marsala, naan, dal soup....Indian food is just so flavorful with all the spices! I've been in search of a good place since I've been home. This place had some pretty good reviews so I was anxious to try it. So I had dinner here last week. I had the Chicken Tikka Marsala with medium spice. The chicken was REALLY dry. The sauce was flavorless, how do you have a medium flavorless sauce?! So sad. I also had the Dal Soup. Odd texture, really runny and lacked flavor. Garlic Naan- This was pretty good. It would be kind of hard to mess up garlic bread... unless you burn it but hey, got to give them credit where credit is due. I would eat this again. Gulab Jaman- Ok, wouldn't order it again but it was edible. I went for dinner and it wasn't worth the price. Maybe I ordered wrong, but I live in the OC and there are too many awesome places to try to waste my time or money on this place again. I do have some good news tho! I tried a place off Harbor tonight with a similar name called Tandoori Fresh and they had a delicious and flavorful tikka marsala. So even tho this Tandoori wasn't a winner I found one that was. :)

I don't know what some of these reviewers are thinking but this place is absolutely phenomenal. From the second you step in, the aroma of authentic Indian cuisine greets the nose and creates a sense of great joy. The chicken was high quality, the vegetables were fresh and tasty, and the spices were amazing. The staff are friendly, appears to be run by a family, and they were very nice. This will be my go to spot for Indian food. Thank you!

The buffet here is not worth the price only because the taste is well below average. The chicken masala or anything else is no good.

I enjoy this product and the price that they had them on sale for. It was easy to order on line and not have to go into the store to place my order; what a convenience. The food was spicy and hot but it was good. The people and atmosphere is nice. Almost like india. The curry reminded me on India in fact. Attentive, responsive service inspired confidence, and the food met all expectations.

Great place! The tikka masala is a little different from your usual tikka masala, but it is very good. Hard to explain. I recommend it though. Smooth, creamy, very brightly colored. Samosas and accompanying chutneys are delicious as well. Try the disco naan! It's like your usual garlic naan but with ginger and chili in addition. Waitress said it is named because "it is like disco in your mouth!"

Just average. Poor and rather dirty inside, food quality was ok, nothing special. Nice spicy spinach, great naan. Unfortunately, the Alu Goobi was completely cold, the carrot pudding was waaaay to fatty/buttery and their mushroom masala was just plain boring. Would not go back. Will be happy to make to drive to Annapoorna in Irvine at any time!

Really good India food! We unfortunately had to order every dish mild since most of our party cant handle spicy, but it was still very delicious. I really loved their chicken tikka masala and I cant wait to go back and try it with some spiciness! Their fish vindaloo was very tasty, the fish was cooked just right and you could taste all the spices in the sauce. We also got the karahi gosht also very good, I think every dish you get is going to be incredible. Don't be fooled by the small bowls of food, they may look small but they pack a powerful belly filling punch!

We came here on Sunday for the lunch buffet $9.99 per person. I had the Mango Lassi drink while my friends had 2 different Indian beers. The King lager was bitter, however, I enjoyed the other lager. The garlic naan was hot and fresh! The spinach, 2 different chicken curries, and the vegetable pakoras were really delicious. For dessert, I really enjoyed the rice pudding and Gulab Jamuns were great! Service was good. It was pretty cold outside so I didn't mind the lack of A/C. This place was also not as packed as the other places I visit in Irvine. I will definitely be back!

I recently had the buffet lunch at Tandoori. I almost gave the meal two stars because of the lack of typical flavor in the chicken tikka masala and the eggplant dish (bangan bharta) for example. However, different from other lower standard indian buffets at which I have eaten, the quality of the ingredients seems to be fairly good here. The chicken in the chicken tikka and the tandoori chicken was moist and seemed fresh. The dishes however lacked the pungent, explosive delicious flavors that I have tasted at other good indian restaurants. The saag paneer was a bit weak and didn't have a lot of flavor with the paneer cheese difficult to find. However.....the service at Tandoori is excellent. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. And, the gulab jamun (dough balls) are the best that I have ever tasted. Moist and doughy cooked in a ghee butter sauce. So rich and decadent that I could only have a couple of them. There was an endless supply of garlic naan which was moist, flavorful and pretty decent. And, the price for the buffet was not bad at $9.95. An average place.

My boyfriend and I really love this place. The staff is extremely friendly but sometimes hard to understand. The food is good and the place is clean. I love their butter chicken but when I feel like I should be a bit healthier I get their chicken tikka masala (tastes the same, but less butter ha!). I always get an order of veggie samosas to dip in the leftover chicken sauce and then I dab a little of the tamarind sauce on top. It's heaven 0:) The prices are a bit higher than most indian places, but it is a very convenient location for us and they are dog friendly outside. If you don't want to spend the $13.99 per entree price, they do have great lunch buffet specials which is like $10. Overall, i'd definitely recommend.

The food - excellent. Overall, I haven't been to a place in Southern California that is better. Baigan Bharta (eggplant) - awesome Palak Paneer (spinach) - awesome Onion kulcha (imagine a little heartier naan type bread) - excellent. Proper amount of onion pieces inside. Very well done. Could possibly be cooked just slightly longer to make the outside just a bit crisp. All the flavors were SPOT ON. The ony dish I'd give four stars to was the daal makhani. It needed a little more flavor. I should take one star away because the service needs two improvements but I'll give them a pass for now: 1) The waiters are very nice but need to learn a little more English. 2) Cashier/management has to greet you with a smile/appreciate that fact that you're there and be patient if you want to check that all of your food is in the bag. Regardless, I'll be going back there when I'm in the area!

Loved the tender chicken tikka masala and garlic naan here! Indian cuisine is so flavorful and filling so I can appreciate having some salad and cucumbers available to neutralize. Options: they offer many different options including curry, Samosas, tandoori chicken and many others that can't remember the names of. Price: $9.95 for lunch buffet is reasonable Location: across the street from South Coast in the corner pocket of the plaza Service: very good. Owner came around bringing naan and making sure the water was filled. Indian cuisine always gives me major food coma but is so yummy to the tummy I'm sure I will be back.

Yelpers...you've failed me! No, no, no! This place is not good, not fresh, not clean! Dirty water glasses, under cooked potatoes in my vindaloo, some sort of string in my naan. I'm not sure what all the others are eating, but the staples - butter chicken, vindaloo, naan and saag paneer were complete fails! Please don't waste your time, money or calories in this place!

First of all, if you're new to Indian Food, try some. Now if you're ready to try it, try it at a place that does it right! This is one of those places! Buffet until 4PM!!! AWESOME! Great food, awesome service, and they have delicious clean water. I judge a restaurant by their water because if you cannot get that correct, and clean, I have little faith in the rest of the restaurant's ability. This place does it right! Give it a try. The butter chicken curry is something I'd put in a cup and drink as a beverage. The price is Great too! 10-12 bucks for buffet!

High expectations based on yelp reviews... sorry to say the food was not what I was expecting. Food was very tasteless and bland. Indian food has this wonderful and distinct taste that keeps people coming back...not today. Buffet was less than desirable. When we eat Indian food the distinct taste of brown meat is usually hidden by the many flavorful seasonings but today it was not. A simple desert such as the gulab jamun was tough in texture. Sorry very disappointed. Service was good, facility clean.

First of, let me just say I am so glad this was the restaurant that I chose to go to, to try out Indian food for the very first time. If you have never try Indian food before and want try it, this would be the place you want to visit. They know what they're doing. This restaurant is a little small, but luckily there is outside seating. I have only gone here a few times but it has only been for dinner so I cant say much about the lunch buffet that they offer. WHAT I HAVE TRIED: - Chicken Tandoori (half)--(9/10)--the chicken is very flavorful and tender. - Chicken Tikka Masala--(10/10)--This is by far my favorite dish that they offer at Tandoori Indian Cuisine! You can taste all the different spices that was marinaded into the chicken. A bite of this is perfection. I would highly recommend this to everyone who come to eat here. - Lamb Garlic Masala--(9/10)--Its flavored well, good portion size, the sauce is great with the naan. -Plain Naan--(9/10)--good portion size, not chewy or try - Garlic Naan--(9/10)--you can taste the garlic flavor in the naan CUSTOMER SERVICE: The services here are great! When you walk into the restaurant, the staff greet you politely and seat you right away. I have never waited to be seated when I come here. You feel very welcome here and the staffs are very attentive to your needs. I took my 12 years old brother and his friend here for dinner a couple of weeks ago. Let me note that these kids are very picky eater and they hate trying new things, but by the end of the dinner they devoured everything that was put onto their plates. That being said they place is kids approved.

So i have this bad habit of ordering things without looking at the price... The food here is grossly overpriced that my eyes almost popped out and fell into the left over curry when i saw the bill. The price negates any positive thing about this restaurant. I suggest you come for lunch and never for dinner. There are much cheaper and better Indian cuisine close by.

This is far from a "gem" as other Yelpers have stated. The food does not taste fresh and the Samosas seem to have been frozen. The Pakora is over-fried, dry, burnt and flavorless. The other main-courses are also laking in flavor. Tablecloths are dirty from previous customers. The Vegetable rice tastes like "Rice-a-Roni", but it is definitely not a treat! Yelp! definitely let me down this time and we will not be returning.

It seems the cook or recipe of some of dishes have changed. Last year, we were in love with the place. Place used to be a awesome choice for authentic Indian food. But when we went in recently, the recipe of the same dishes had changed. Either they were too watery or not mixed well or not cooked well. Recommend the owners to step it back up. Great location, owner/operator was nice and courteous. Awesome potential to turn this around.

First couple times I came here, didnt think it was worth the high ratings it was getting. However, after a few more visits I am understanding why this places rocks. While their selection of lunch buffet items isnt extensive, everything is delicious. The spices used and quality of the food is on point across the board and all their meat is soooo good. One thing I hate is how huge samosas usually are at Indian restaurants. I love em, but can never finish them cuz then my belly gets way too full. But here, the samosas are the perfect size and they are AAAHHMAAZING!!! Garlic nan is delicious and comes out piping hot and fresh. And they even give you the option of getting all garlic nan instead of half and half. More garlic nan for me please!! Thank youu!!

I ve been here couple times. I enjoyed it the first time, and wanted to try more items. So i went back last night, ordered paneer pakoras, chicken chat, which was something new and most indian restaurants dont have it as an appetizer. It was pretty good. Then just a garlic naan, chicken tikka masala and yellow dal with rice. It was all pretty good. Its a small restaurant with may be capacity of 45 ppl. But its at a very good location. The food was great, but the service, not so much. The lady that was taking our order seemed annoyed with something and was very unfriendly. Whatever problems you have, shouldnt let it out on a customer. She was terrible at recommending things, and didnt smile once. She said she was a manager, which is a shame. But other then that. The food is great. Because of that lady's attitude its a 3 star review instead of a possible 5.

The waiter must have been annoyed that I was playing on my phone while waiting for my food to arrive. I can't think of why else he would forcefully shove plates into my hand not once, but twice, knocking my phone right out of my hand. Not even an "excuse me." There was plenty of room on the table for him to place the dinnerware without assaulting my fingers. I put my phone away after the food arrived so that I could utilize my hands for fork and knife handling. The waiter was much more pleasant after that. Good place to eat if you don't own a cell phone.

I have tried this restaurant several times and always love the food. The best is to order off the menu, I usually get the curry chicken, garlic naan and a side of mango chutney, and its the best I've had in Orange County! This food is authentic, the owners are very kind and gracious. You must have their chai tea, that too is authentic and latte like.

There aren't many Indian food places in the Newport Beach / Costa Mesa area, so it's great to find one this solid. Their lunch buffet is a steal, and dinner is great without being too expensive. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but the food makes up for it unless you're going for more formal.

This place has a really good lunch buffet deal. $9.95 for all you can eat? Sign me up!! So, why the 3-star rating? Customer service. Came here today, and asked for a "To-Go" box. I was having a busy day at work and just had enough time to pick up a quick meal to take back to the office. When I asked the server for a box, he then directed me to a lady working the desk, who then directed me to the "big" guy who runs the place. I told him I wanted a to-go box, and he gave me this "WTF? You serious" look. Don't know why that's an issue since I am saving you money by getting items to-go and not going up to get food every 15-20min or so AND you only have to give me one of your delicious breads, not keep giving me some. The dude then tells me, "you have to get a little bit of each item. You cannot just get one item"... um... ok? You're charging me more than your sit-down lunch buffet, and I still can't get the amounts I desire? Anywho, I didn't pay much mind to his demands; even after I noticed he was trying to be discrete when looking at me put food in my box (HA!! You got caught). The food is good, and it's not too rough on my colon (thank God I'm Mexican). **As always, your experience may differ**

Love their lunch buffet. Have been here many times (all of which are weekday lunches) whenever me or my office colleagues feel the need to have (splurge) Indian food we go to this small unassuming place for their lunch buffet. They usually have the staple and generally popular Indian items in their spread so you cannot go wrong in assuming it will satisfy all your needs for a perfect Indian lunch. They have inside and outside seating, prompt service. Haven't been here for dinner or have ordered anything from the menu so cannot comment about that (why would you order from the menu, when they have a good and tasty buffet waiting for same/cheaper price, unless you have some diet restrictions) Overall, a trust worthy and economical Indian restaurant which gets my vote for their well-priced lunch buffet.

Thanks Yelpers, probably not a restaurant I would go into. But the reviews were spot on the food was authentic and very tasty. No dirt cheap buffet at dinner. Mixed Tandoori grill was like a big fajita platter that we shared, through in the Chicken Tikka Marsala, a vegetable and some fresh naan bread and free rice and you have a nice feast. Service was good, water glass was refilled and friendly waiters. Not a fancy place, small spot with good food at a reasonable price

Amazing Indian food! I would recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Service was exceptional constantly checking up on us and making sure we had everything we needed and everything was tasting perfectly.

My wife and I have been there once and we loved it. We ordered the all-you-can-eat buffet. The selection was adequate and the food was delicious. I don't think $10 per person will get you better food than this. This is the best buffet I've ever been to for the price hands down. Also noteworthy is their soda. I'm not a big drinker of soft drinks but their soda was good. It came in a large cup with a straw and ice. It was that crushed kind of soft ice that's easy to chew. That's my favorite way soda is served and that's what you get at this place. The service was also good. My wife nor I had any complaints. The owner took the time to have a conversation with me. We were seated right away. Our plates were gathered while we reloaded at the buffet. The price was less than $30 for two all-you-can eat buffets and two soft drinks. The place is located on the corner of Bristol and Sunflower. The parking lot is large because it accommodates many other businesses in that shopping center. It's also just a few minutes from Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa and just a few miles from the beach. Five stars: Food * Drinks* Service* Price* Location*

YAAAAS. I love the owner. He doesn't know me, but I love him anyway. Their menu is HUGE; there were a variety of dishes for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The first time I came here, I asked the owner what he recommended, and he literally said, "ANYTHING! I make everything good." UHHHHH YEAH HE DOES. HELL YEAHHHHH HE DOES. I come here all the time now. This is my TO GO PLACE. Come here during lunch because you can eat ALL YA WANT for a price of I forgot, but it was cheap. LOVE HEARTS HEARTS
My coworker recommended this place as he frequents this location quite often. I usually go to Traditions in Tustin but since this place is closer to work, I decided to try it out. Pros: 1. Great service (for a buffet) 2. The garlic naan bread is great! 3. The tandoori chicken is really good 4. The rice was great and complimented the other entrees well Cons: 1. Seems like AC doesn't work well or at all but you can eat outside if you want 2. The veggie fritters were a little hard 3. The selection is somewhat limited but pretty much most items i had were pretty good This is definitely a great place for lunch, a little tight for dinner but if you are in the mood for Indian and are you near South Coast Plaza, give it a try!

Tried this place once for dinner. It was extremely expensive. My boyfriend and I both ordered chicken tikka masala (which is supposed to come with rice), and garlic naan. The meal ended up costing $40-50... insane prices for chicken tikka masala and naan. Not to mention the sauce was really watery, and they dont' give you very much chicken. We were supoosed to both get rice but they brought out the smallest bowl for both of us to share. It was TINY. We put a spoonful on each of our plates (there was literally only enough for one spoonful each... a bite size) and asked for more rice. They brought another rice out of the same size. I left feeling unsatisfied and ripped off. I can see how this place might be good for lunch, since the buffet is cheap and all you can eat, but I would not recommend it for dinner.

Tasty buffet and reasonable. Lots of choices and delicious. They had these little balls in some sort of juice it looked like. Tried them. Turned out to be pancake balls in sweet honey type light syrup. Pleasant surprise. The garlic Nan is awesome too and the people are very nice.

$10 lunch buffet from 11-4pm every day?!? HECK YEAH! My boyfriend and I are Indian food fanatics, and so I thought this wpuld be the best way to try as many foods as possible! And what a GREAT decision that was! Chicken Tikka Masala is the best I've had, plus I love their carrot pudding and their sweet round dough balls that are dipped in syrup. Highly recommend for newcomers looking to try new things and experienced indian food aficionados! :)

We ordered take out but I can see the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. By far the butter chicken curry here is the best I ever had. The flavors were so tasty and the chicken very tender. I think it was $13.99 but the serving was huge! The food was ready within 15-20 minutes as the cashier mentioned. There is $9.99 lunch buffet Mondays-Fridays! I will dream of butter chicken until the next time I come back.
I came here for lunch and had the buffet. The buffet lunch is being promoted for $9.95 and had a good crowd roll in. They had pretty good selection of dishes, including Basmati rice and vegetable rice, tandoori chicken, tiki masala, and curry. I enjoyed the tiki masala the best and found it paired very well with the rice and garlic naan bread. Service was ok. Great lunch and recommended if you like Indian food and want something quick.

Good food!! Wasn't expecting this place to be as good as it was. It's across the street from south coast next to a gathering of foreign food places. So many choices to try something new. There was a sushi place, Cuban, Peruvian, and a quaint looking coffee house. I ordered the lamb madras, chicken masala, garlic naan, and raita. Everything was delicious. I order in advance for pick-up. I arrived within the time frame they gave me and they were just finishing it up. Everything was packaged nicely, but the togo container lids were flimsy and i was nervous they would easily come off on the ride home. Once I got home the feast began. Everything was made well and tasted excellent. I will definitely be back.

Uhm, uhm, uhm. So good! I was there this afternoon, and the chef recommended the chicken palak and I loved it. The chicken was tender and tasty as if it had been simmered in the spinach puree, which was rich and spicy. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the price. I paid $16+ for my meal: 8 oz white rice 16 oz chicken palak A piece of naan I would come back but just during buffet hours. A $10 meal seams a lot more reasonable considering the overall restaurant rating.

Indian food. Ah, I love it, but at the same time I am scared of it. I ate a green mint sauce once and I nearly died on a level 10 spicy scale. At the end of the meal, it looked like I ran a marathon. Tandoori India Cuisine is one of the better Indian restaurants I have been to in Orange County. --WHAT SHOULD I ORDER-- 1) Garlic Naan or the Traditional Naan, either way, its baked to perfection. It gets served hot and the staff brings it right out. 2) My benchmark test is definitely the Chicken Tikka Masala, you have the choice of mild or spicy. I choose the mild to begin while I tried spicy from my friend. 3) If you are not feeling chicken, try the Shrimp Masala, the shrimps are jumbo shrimp (oxymoron) and the flavor tastes good, if not better than the chicken dish. 4) Try the meat samosas, if you are a samosa fan. I stayed away from the vegetable one because I need some meat. *They do offer a buffet from 11AM - 4PM, but I would check that on the website or call ahead.* --HOW IS THE SERVICE-- All three times I went, the staff is on a strict system. Everything is taken cared of off the bat, drinks come up, staff asks you if you need anything, etc. The service is definitely a plus for such a tiny store along with the quality of food. --WHAT IS THE PRICE-- Expect each person to pay about 12$-18$ at the end of the bill. Source: I have been here 3 times in the past 2 months.

not to shabby! my fiance and i came for their $10 lunch buffet... do it! garlic naan - it was good! nice and fresh, just like it should be ;) when we walked up to the buffet, there didn't seem to be much left, but after 20 minutes or so, they refilled a bunch of the food, to that was good. the chicken tikka masala was great, and overall i thought the food was good! the place is pretty small, but they also have outdoor seating, so that's a plus!

Good fast authentic Indian food! The service was great and a first timer here. I got the butter chicken and my girl friend got the tikka masala. I usually have a sensitive stomach after eating Indian food but this place did not phase my stomach. I will be returning for their delicious menu items.

I don't know how reliable my review will be since I've only had Indian food a couple of times dispersed throughout my life.. but in comparison to the places that I have been and remember, this place was amazing! We ordered some lamb with orange cream colored sauce (don't remember the name, sorry), some chicken tikka masala medium spice with garlic naan, a mango puree drink and mango chutney. The lamb was beautifully cooked and was nice and tender and my chicken was superb as well. I cannot rave enough about the sauces! We were given two different sauces at first that were unlike anything I've had before in terms of flavor and I absolutely adored the mango chutney. It was a combination of sweet with smoky pepper.. difficult to explain but after hearing the cool word "chutney" for so long, I've gotta say I wasn't disappointed after finally trying it for my first time at this restaurant! Unfortunately, my friend who was with me wasn't as crazy about it, he didn't like the overload of flavor :/ On to the spiciness, I'm Mexican so I don't know if that had anything to do with my tolerance for the medium spiced tikka masala but I found it to be perfect. My nose was drooling a little but I felt that it was tolerable and I thoroughly enjoyed it without worrying about cooling off my tongue; again, my friend said it was a little on the too-spicy side. The mango puree drink was really sweet and tasted fresh but was a little filling so I'd recommend it as a dessert instead of a side drink. I'm glad to add that my friend absolutely adored it as well! Overall I think I'm definitely coming here again. I was comfortably full by the end of my meal without feeling gross and bloated and I really liked that the plaza in which it was located had a great variety of foods from around the globe. 4 stars because our waiter seemed grumpy.. he turned out to be a nice guy by the end but it was still a little bit awkward.. especially since there wasn't any music, just the sound of the tv.

Delicious food, very reasonable prices, good service, we love coming here after a South Coast Repertory performance, to discuss the play. Love the onion bhaji, the Mushroom Masala, and the Bhindi Masala. Great nan, too. Not a fancy place, but excellent food.

Been going here for about 3 years. The best in orange county. Coming from an Indian :) Love their friendly staff, and the food is very consistently excellent. Take friends for dinner, and for lunch buffet. They can make it really spicy if you ask. Great vegetarian selections and chicken tikka. Love the paneer marsala, and palak paneer. They always add mutter (peas) when we go there because my girl loves em. Great restaurant!

My friend and I had dinner at Tandoori and ordered Garlic Naan bread, Butter Chicken, and a masala dish with paneer in it (spacing out on the name right now). ( yelp.com/biz_photos/rNxc… ) Garlic Naan Bread: First of all, I've only been to one other Indian restaurant that didn't provide complimentary naan bread, and my experience there was terrible. I should've taken this as a sign that this restaurant might suck when my friend and I realized we had to order bread. The garlic naan was just ok. Maybe I would've enjoyed it better if it was free, then it would've tasted wonderful. Butter Chicken: I'll give props to this restaurant for making their food spicy. When you request "spicy", they will give you spicy with an extra kick. According to my friend, I was "turning pink" and was sweating from the spiciness. It's all good, spice is always nice! Anyway, the butter chicken was the best thing we ordered, and I couldn't get enough of that sauce, which I dumped my rice into and finished off the bowl. I ordered another to-go for my cousin, who told us that her chicken was rubbery and a little difficult to chew. Masala: Whatever the masala dish we ordered contained paneer. Unfortunately, the restaurant's website doesn't have descriptions of the food. Anyway, it wasn't that great, maybe that's why we forgot its name. Paneer was good, though. Just like the food, service was ok. Although our waiter came by once in a while to refill our waters and take our plates away, we were ignored several times by him whenever we wanted refills or had a question about menu items. Not the best Indian restaurant I've been too, but certainly not the worst. But I'll admit that during dinner I was fantasizing about having Indian food elsewhere. :x

Love this place complex flavors and seasonings plus dishes are made fresh. This is worth the visit and it's a regular in our dining out list. It's not fancy for dining but a cut above fast food. Food is cooked like a full service resturant.

Food: Overpriced Flavor: Ok...we've had better Service: Really sucked THE STORY: Where to begin? We came for dinner because we didn't want to wait an hour at another restaurant and saw that it had good reviews. We walk in, to the scary surprise of no customer (at all). We were seated and given menus, water, and asked about an order. Placed our orders, waited a bit, and then received our food. The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't amazing. My roommate and I both agreed that we've had better for A LOT cheaper (each plate was about $14). While eating, no one checked up on us....AT ALL. My roommate and I quickly finished the small plate of rice they gave us. We had to be in the lookout to see when someone could see us to let them know that we needed more rice. Even after having given us more rice, they still didn't come to check up on us. My roommate's water was empty, mine was (because I don't drink a lot while I eat), and then we got full and sat there for more than 10min, waiting for someone to check up on us. Keep in mind, we were THE ONLY CUSTOMERS in the whole restaurant (and its a tiny restaurant). And it wasn't until we got our check that someone refilled our waters (which made no sense to me), but we managed to chug a bit of it down before we left. As we left and walked towards our car, we both agreed, the food wasn't terrible, but we were never going back there again.

I like coming here for the lunch buffets. It's a good place to go satisfy your Indian food cravings, and service is very quick and attentive, good for time constrained work lunches. -Naan: The naan is offered plain and garlic. Garlic is my favorite, obviously. I love garlic on anything. The garlic naan here is actually the best I've ever had. Other places garlic naan tends to come out burnt. -Chicken Tikka Masala: I love the chicken tikka masala sauce, but I found the chicken to be a little dry. It usually seems that way for all places I've tried though. Is white meat chicken a requirement for chicken tikka masala? -Chicken Curry: It is not my favorite flavor, but the chicken is really juicy. I wish I could switch the chicken from the curry and add it into the tikka masala. -Samosas: pretty good. I like to dip these into curry to make it easier going down. -Tandoori Chicken: is juicy and tender with the perfect amount of acidity. I love the tandoori chicken here. A ~$10 lunch buffet and solid food, Tandoori India Cuisine deserves some more attention.

Amazing!! I just got done talking about how I've never had bad Indian food and it still holds true after eating here! Matter of fact, now I can say I've never had Indian food fresher than this place! You could just taste the freshness in their big chunks of mushrooms and the other veggies. And while I was eating, I saw a delivery of fresh veggies in 2 carts being hauled in, right before my own eyes so I saw and can attest to freshness! I even overheard the guys at the next table talk about the freshness of the food! I almost hollered back a "hell ya!" They even have hellava!! I love that stuff! Service was prompt and friendly. Love how while the place is small, it still has that elegant touch. I felt very calm and at ease sitting there staring out at the flowers and green outside. This is my new fav. Indian spot! Can't beat $8.95 AYCE 7 days a week; 11-5. Sorry Bukhara, I originally gave you 4 stars and just bumped it down to 3 because this place is so deserving of 5 stars. Giving you 4 wouldn't be right since you're closer to a 3 than a 5. BTW: I don't know why there are 2 separate yelp reviews for this place, as if they were 2 different restaurants. This is Indian Tandoori and Indian cuisine.

Found this one yelp while looking for good Indian restaurant in my area .. alot of reviews and good star rating - NEVER disappoints you on YELP .. anything less than a 5 will not justify the food and taste here but will take out 1 star from overall rating due to small tables and the overall seating capacity of this place .. Max 25-30 people can seat at one time .. My favorite here is Bhindi Masala and Disco Naan .. Will surely go again soon to have them both & highly recommend going this one if you are in Orange County [for pleasure or work - totally worth the visit] ..

This review covers the lunch buffet on a Sunday for $9.99, or technically $10 and change + tip. India Cuisine is one of the rare dining places in Orange County that still offers a really good buffet, and I mean quality, not cheap, not fake, no imitation anything. Please note the selections are a little limited... all the main meat buffet dishes are chicken curries, but man oh man, the curries are so good. All this is making me hungry for the lunch buffet... that's how much I enjoy eating here. Haha. I love dipping the garlic naan in the curries. I came by here for lunch on a Sunday, I believe... and the place was pretty much full, but we only had to wait maybe five minutes for a table for two. The staff and servers are prompt and instruct you to start the buffet once you receive a table. The buffet trays were less than half full when we started, but were filled to the brim after being there maybe 15? 20? minutes. The restaurant is on the smaller side and when people are passing by your table to get to the buffet, it can get a little claustrophobic. It's bearable though. If the weather is permitting, you can always sit outside as well. *****DISCLAIMER***** It is not my intent to discourage anyone from coming here or lower the public image of India Cuisine, but the paragraph below is what I experienced. With that said, I'd still enjoy their buffet and curries. Skip paragraphs till notified if you have a weak stomach. ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** Please note, this could happen anywhere, in any kitchen, in any country... so let's not riot over this. :) The one thing that kinda really bugged me though is... I went to the salad and dressing area of the buffet and saw a small fly or gnat hovering? I couldn't tell and didn't bother to study it... but that didn't leave me feeling too good. Was thinking to myself, "Don't think about it Michael, don't think about it." I assured myself the hot foods were fine and sanitary. I sure hope so... O_O and I'm still alive today right?! It's been a few weeks and haven't had any illnesses. Thumbs up! We're good! :D *****RESUME HERE IF YOU SKIPPED PARAGRAPHS ABOVE***** So anyways, back to the review... all in all, not "allinol" from Cars 2, Disney pun* :) the food here is really good and $10 for an all you can eat buffet of quality curries and chicken, it's a good deal and well worth the time. ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** MY HUMBLE EXPERIENCE: ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** ***** I have tried Orchids (restaurant on Paularino and Bristol in Costa Mesa)... their buffet is a little more expensive but has the beef kebabs, that's pretty good. I feel like the selection here is more limited than at India Cuisine... but then again, Orchids is Persian food, not Indian. (Score: 7 out of 10) I've been to the Indian restaurant across from Orchids, in the plaza directly across Bristol street. Their buffet was good but was not as flavorful as Indian Cuisine. If I remember correctly the buffet was similarly priced. (Score: 5 out of 10) There used to be a restaurant called Ferdussi's (spellcheck) over on Bristol and MacArthur Blvd, behind what is now Chick-Fil-A... they had a good buffet but closed a few years ago. This was also Persian food. (Score: 8 out of 10) In my humble opinion, India Cuisine scores a 8.5 out of 10. Food is great!

It's tucked back from the parking lot so walk down the stairs and back to the right. Now as for the food- I've eaten @ several Indian resturants on both east and west coast. India Tandoori is by far one of the best. My wife and I loved the chicken tiki masala! And the waiter - although hard to understand- was helpful with suggesting items and mixing something up for us. Decor is nice, not fancy; comfortable and slightly casual.

Great food! I've lived nearby for two years and never given this place a chance (big mistake). Being of the ethnic origin, I am very critical of the cuisine. The disco naan is a must try if you like spice! Tried the lamb kebobs, chicken seekh kebab, chicken tikka masala, lamb ghosh, chicken biryani (spicy!), and shrimp garlic masala! We were starving after a round of golf and had the appetite of kings (which we complimented with king fisher LOL) Delicious food, great spice levels, and good menu selection..will definitely be coming back

I've only been to a handful of Indian restaurants and I won't pretend to know what truly authentic Indian food tastes like, but I know that I really love the food here. I've only eaten at the buffet, so that's what I'm commenting on. The garlic naan is heavenly, especially eaten with the curry sauces. The chicken tikka masala is amazing as well; out of all the chicken tikka masala dishes I've tried before this place just gets it right. I also love their samosas and vegetable dishes! The meat section of the buffet might not be as extensive as other places, but that's a-okay by me because I always enjoy a little of each and never leave feeling unsatisfied. For the buffet price you can't beat the unlimited goodness you get. Staff and owner are always friendly with good service. It's a great place for a casual but delicious lunch. I'd go here every week if I could!

I'm not indian but I tried very nice indian food in different restaurants. Outside this ''restaurant'', it was written fine cuisine :) that was very funny.. I would say bullshit cuisine. Service is almost nonexistent. Choices are limited. The chicken was disgusting with a weird taste. The lassi was not good. I was feeling sick all that day... It is not worth it to go there. do not waste your time. Very bad experience.

Great place. Their buffet is open later than any other Indian restaurant in the area, and their service is the best I've gotten at an Indian buffet. The lady in particular is very nice. The food is tasty and varied. The samosas, palak paneer, and mushroom masala in particular are excellent. Desert selection is good and the naan is hot and fresh.

My go to place when i am craving Indian food. The food is authentic and filling. i recommend getting a side of naan with your meal. Warning you will get hooked on Bollywood movies and shake your head to the music after you stare at the TV for 20 min.

I disagree with a few of the other yelpers. I think this location for Indian food is only okay. I ate here mainly because it was convenient and my friend was craving some Indian food. This is a place where you mostly go for the lunch buffet, because dinner can get pricey. My friend ordered the Butter Chicken, while I got the Chicken Tikka Masala (which is my favorite I always get that). I've never had a problem with spicy food but my Masala was so spicy I had to complain and ask them to fix it, in order for it to be edible. Maybe I'm picky because I've had so much better. I felt it was too spicy to eat, got charged double times for more naan. Oh well at least it came with rice. You might read this and think I'm a cheap ass but for what I paid I could have gotten a meal for 3 at a different place.

I haven't sniffed in on Indian cuisine in years due to health restrictions and the wife's inability to figure out the menu's well enough to insure she finds a dish she likes. The SHRIMP MALAI dish had a nice mild creamy taste. I'm a big fan of the coconut used in Thai curries so the use of coconut was appreciated here. The shrimp were plump and tasty. The LAMB TIKKA MASALA was possibly the prettiest colored masala sauce I've ever seen. Often I've seen them more on the orange colored side but this was a firey red color with hints of orange. And it tasted as good as it looked. Fortunately I didn't taste a ton of tomato which "does me dirty" due to health issues. I didn't go overboard with it but the GARLIC NAAN was excellent dipped in both sauces. I don't believe I've ever had ALOO GOBI as it wouldn't normally be high on my list. The wife had it recently and liked it so we gave this a go here. I liked it as well but it would be my third choice of the three dishes. The service was very good and the relaxed vibe and quiet dining room was appreciated. We'll definitely be back.

The quality of the buffet food was not too good but we did come at the end of the buffet. Mango lassi wasn't sweet enough and the naan was too thin and crispy not fluffy like I usually enjoy. Would rather go to the Peruvian restaurant next door. Staff was friendly.

Cheap food! Great location across from the mall! 10 bucks lunch buffet! The food is great and always stocked up. I especially liked the tikki masala. Its a bit sweet but i prefer it over the curry which was a bit strong in flavor. Service here kinda sucks... We asked for napkins and tea. They forgot. We reminded the same waiter. He forgot again. I don't think they work well when its busy. Plus it gets packed and theres not much room to move or get food.

Thought we would give this place another go. Being it was Saturday late afternoon, this is probably the only Indian lunch buffet still open. They had plenty of variety including plain and yellow basmati rice, daal, saag (but no paneer), chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, malai koftas, curried vegetables, and pakoras and samosas. For dessert rice pudding, carrot pudding and jalub gamun. The sauces have improved in taste and texture. Much thicker and creamier. Service was prompt and friendly. Both plain and garlic naan were good here. However, in flavor the dishes could use some improvement. And some paneer in the saag wouldn't hurt either.

This place is great. I've been coming here for a little over a year. I came across this hidden gem when I was interning at United Way of Orange County in Irvine. A quick little drive and I found myself in a food plaza. The indian lunch buffet for 10 bucks sounded like the best bang for my buck. Every time I come, the owner always recognizes me and executes excellent customer service. What else can I say about this place? The food is great. The quality is very consistent too. However, like most buffet's the food is especially delicious when it is busy. How come? The food is fresh because it's always running out! You will leave this place with a food coma! Also, I would suggest coming on Friday. It's the only day that makes sense to do a buffet! But be warned, it will be busy on Friday.

Surprisingly good. All four of us had a great meal, and the staff were very friendly. I don't eat a lot of dairy, and they switched out some of the dishes on the veggie plate for me (I think it was an extra dollar or two). Lots of food. Everyone was happy with this hole-in-the-wall restaurant!

New owners are great. Friendly, on point and have a great chef back there cooking up all the Indian classics. $10 for all you can eat all day, and it comes with fresh garlic naan on the house. You can't go wrong with this place, come try it!

Just had this for lunch today and for $10 all you can eat, it was very worth it! The garlic nann was a great compliment to all the various chicken dishes. There wasnt really any beef dishes, only chicken, but what they had was very tasty. To top it off they had those sweet bread balls soaking in that sugar pool, not sure what thats called, but dang that was a great end to a full filling meal! The servers are fast and very attentive.

Best Indian food in SoCal! I have been to places in LA and all over Orange county but nothing compares to this gem. Try your favorites and something new or try the buffet. Love this place!!!

This place is so good that I created a Yelp account just so I can write them a review. That's saying something considering the lack of interest I show in writing reviews. What makes this place special is not the distinct flavors of their curries (as it should be), their top-notch bread, their perfectly spiced and melt-in-the-mouth meat, or their fluffy flavorful rice. It's their service. Yes, service. The word 'authentic' is rather loosely used when speaking about ethnic food, and more so with Indian. And no Indian food can be called authentic if it isn't served with great hospitality. And these guys have nailed it in that department. The owners went out of their way to serve us food beyond their business hours. We reached the place 5 minutes after they closed their doors for the day, and the owner reopened it for us and hosted us unconditionally. This gesture was enough to make us revisit this place for lunch the following day. My favorites were Chicken Madras and Shahi Paneer with Disco Naan(despite the funny sounding name). We ordered an array of appetizers and each one of them exceeded our expectations. Although their buffet quality is miles ahead compared to other Indian restaurants, I believe it doesn't match the taste of their dinner items, which is the case with most restaurants. So, I'll give them 4/5. Overall, it's a must visit if you are in the area, and if you like Indian food. Keep up the good work TIC!

I like this place a lot. The tiki masala with lamb and an order of garlic naan is our usual. If you like rice, you will probably want to get the large, it comes with a small order but it's never enough since the sauce is so good over rice. The mango smoothie is delicious too. It helps cool your mouth down from all the spices.

I came here for dinner at 6 pm and there were only two other tables ... Yet it took them nearly an hour to bring out our food (for two). One of the other tables (who got there before us) looked really irritated at how long it was taking to bring out some food. The food was above average when it finally came out but not good enough for me to want to come back again given the ridiculously slow service.

A great valued Indian buffet near South Coast Plaza. $10 for a great Indian lunch buffet is pretty much a steal. The food here is high quality and the owner really knows his stuff. The service is very friendly and you gotta love that garlic naan bread (simply amazing!).

Winner winner chicken dinner! It's so hard to find good mattar paneer, but this is it! And the butter chicken? Nailed it! Their homemade garlic naan is fantastic. They rub it down with garlic before sticking it in the oven, so it's so lovely and aromatic! Not greasy at all either. Can't go wrong with the lunch buffet, plus the friendly staff make this my new go-to Indian restaurant in the OC.

Came here for the lunch buffet for a coworker's birthday. The lunch buffet is about $10 and they have a little buffet strip with veg or white rice, vegetable samosas, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka malasa, vegetable curry, a reddish chicken curry, spinach and other items. Garlic naan was nice and fresh and complimented the chicken curry really well. Chicken was cook just right in all the dishes and the tandoori chicken was especially tender. Vegetable samosas was filled with potatoes and unexpectedly a bit spicy but still good. Overall the food and service was good, so I'll definitely stop by again if I'm ever craving Indian food.

I don't really love Indian food in general, but I'm giving this restaurant four stars because of its impressive array of vegan options. I went here on a dinner date the other day (my date was an omnivore) and we were both impressed by the menu. I asked the server which of the vegetarian dishes were vegan, and he pointed out at least seven. I'm not used to having so many choices! I was also happy that they didn't try to rush us out the door. We stayed for more than three hours, and there was never any pressure on us to leave. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're a vegan and you love Indian food, you should definitely check this place out!

Tasty Lunch Buffet!!! came in with the girlfriend. this is my second time here and so far so good. they dont have a wide selection compared to other indian buffets but what they have really does hit the spot. theyre stuff is really tasty and flavorful. i think the lunch buffet also includes soda without charge. the service was very fast, that is, bringing out the naan and water. over, the food is good for a quick lunch. its a small restaurant. i wouldnt say it looks that nice. really bright inside. theres also seats outside available. i remembered coming in the summer and it was extremely hot inside and i think they didnt turn on the ac. since its small, it can feel a little crammed. i recommend this place for hungry indian food lovers who dont need a fancy restaurant to enjoy their food.

My brother and I have gone to this place twice and both times we had great service. The food is very tasty and enjoyable. My favorite was the chicken tikka masala as I felt it had just the right amount of spice. The only downfall was that the naan was a bit too hard for my taste .Garlic naan was yummy though so I say try that if you choose this restaurant establishment

Me and my friends came here during lunch and it was surprisingly not busy. The place is very small so we got lucky and was seated right away. Food was great! If only they had given us more garlic roti bread when we had finished ours (reason for only 4 stars). But $10 for an all you can eat is quite a deal and I would definitely be coming back here.

I've tried maybe 2 or 3 other Indian buffets in the area. I'm no expert on what tastes best. However, this is a nice alternative to the chains across the street at SCP. Space is kinda tight here, and it took away from my dining mood. I was also bummed when I was ready for plain basmati rice, but they took it away and replaced it with naan. Service here is pleasant. The variety was there. I just think it could have been.....better.

My boyfriend and I get the shrimp saag and chicken tikka masala every time we come. They are both simply amazing. The garlic naan is delicious as well. The owner and wait staff are extremely courteous and every time we leave we look forward to coming back. A gem of a local small business that we must support!

Waiter: Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Me: What? Waiter: Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Me: ? Hat's off to the owners of India Tandoori. They know it's lunchtime. They know it's get in - get out type of business. They know turnover = $$$$ And boy do they know how to train their waiters! Within the first 20 seconds - water's filled. Within 2 mins - naan's on the table. And within 30 seconds after you finish eating: Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu. So give him the damn plate! Fast, quick and cheap. Perfect lunch spot. Now Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu Gimmedu ROTD!

This is a great place when you're craving Indian food. The curry and masala are very tasty. I've tried other indian places, and this place comes close to my favorite indian food in SF "naan and curry". Anyways, I go for the all you can eat special from 11-4p. Its a great deal and you get unlimited made to order fresh naan. Overall, its decent for when you're craving indian food and also very easy on the wallet.

I went to India Cuisine on a former trip, during their lunch buffet. The quality of that meal left more to be desired; and since then I've been hesitant to return. I tried it recently with my girlfriend, and I am inclined to revise my opinion of the restaurant. We ordered the Navrattan Korma, with Baigan Imami with rice and Naan. If you're an onion lover I would highly recommend the Baigan Imami. This dish came with some tasty thick white onions. It was certainly a nice surprise. I didn't really enjoy the Navrattan Korma as the flavor seemed a little bit bland. Our server asked how spicy we wanted the dish, and we went with the medium. That being said maybe the "high" version might have been better for one's palette. Some quick things about the restaurant: -Disappointed that they served plain white Basmati Rice instead of the Saffron rice. -Our meal came with two small complimentary Gulab Jamin. -Service was prompt. Overall this is another restaurant with a mixed review. India Cuisine has excellent service and options; (I forgot to mention the pre-fixe menu available.) The food and the prices however just fall a little short in comparison to some other restaurants. Another round I think would be in order.

I came in to try the $8.95 buffet. My only disappointment is that my eyes did not scan ahead of me, and before I knew it, I had piled too much food on my plate before I even got to my favorite foods. The curries were just right - each one a different flavor and spice. All the meat was nice and tender. The garlic nann met my approval with the perfect thickness. Next time I go I will skip breakfast.

This place is delicious, I was surprised to see how delicious it was despite being a buffet. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Regular/Garlic Naan is top notch. Service is very attentive and they often deliver my naan the second I sit down after picking my food from the buffet. If there was one thing to nitpick, it'd probably be the charging of full price on refills for my soda every time....but then again they're already cutting costs by delivering awesome food so I'll leave it at five stars!

This is the best quality Indian lunch buffet I've had. It is WAY better than the lunch buffet down the street at Mother India. They are very generous with naan, and will give you both regular and garlic, and they will keep it coming. The food always seems fresh and is always delicious.

Next door to the best local sushi place, this is the best local Indian food! The owner is always in and friendly. The food is DELICIOUS! $10 all you can eat lunch buffet! I am sad that the dinner crowd is small and even though that means no waiting, I want more people here so this place will be around for a long time!

We came for dinner around 5 pm on a weekday. We were the only patrons for the majority of our stay there. A few people came in to order take-out. Between the 5 of us (my husband, 3 children, and I) we ordered the special that's supposed to serve 2 and added on an order of Garlic Naan and Lamb Curry. The special was family style and had several of their dishes from the menu. It included tandoori chicken, saag paneer, butter chicken, daal, and naan. It also came with basmati rice and that watery yogurt dish (can't remember the name). It was all really tasty and had the right amount of spice. The special also includes dessert. Plenty of food and even some leftovers to take home. The service was slow, but made to order, I'm pretty sure. A little cautionary advice, I love lemonade and will even tolerate the Minute Maid fake lemonade that most places offer. However, do not order it from here as it had a weird, carbonated taste (and not in a good way) that even my 2 and 4 year olds didn't like. And they drink just about anything!

I've been here for the lunch buffet and the dinner, and the dinner is definitely better, even though you can't really beat an $8.95 lunch buffet. I'm not ignorant to the origins of the food they serve at the lunch buffet, but I still would have liked a little bit better quality. That said, the dinner was decent. I had the chicken tikka masala and saag paneer with garlic naan. I don't have any complaints about any of it. They always have bollywood movies showing on their TVs, so I guess that's a plus.

Excellent food & service! Butter chicken - red cilantro spice sauce -- great! Chicken Korma - creamy with raisins & cashews so on the sweet side -- great! Garlic Naan bread - a little thin but delicious! Not sure why this place doesn't get better ratings. Service was very attentive, I was impressed. They only give you one serving of rice, but will happily bring more upon request free of charge. I'll be back to try some other dishes before I give a perfect review ;)

Got Curry? 4 Stars for what it is - not because it's super high end dining. This place does and its good. Great lunch spot with a tasty buffet and reason prices.. Service can be a bit slow on occasion but I don't have earl high service expectations for a lunch buffet.

There are two profiles for this place on yelp, one under India Cuisine and one under Tandoori Cuisine. It's the same place next to the Ross by South Coast. Anyway I went here for the lunch buffet and it was very bland. It wasn't bad - but definitely the least impressive Indian buffet I have ever been to. Every other Indian buffet I have been to for the same price is better

3 stars only becasue it has a limited selection on the buffet. Otherwise, it is a real find. The price is extremely fair, the decor is modern and clean and the food is always fresh and flavorful Northern Indian fare. Added bonus: Take your pate outside and soak up the sun in the large outdoor cafe area.

India is the birth place of Chicken Tikka Masala and Curries. Indian foods are prepared with a blend of finely mixed spices quite popular across the region. The spices develop the rich taste in Indian food enough to boggle your mind. The ever-increasing fan base of Indian food around the New York city is steadily increasing because of the large number of Indians who traveled to the land of dreams. The Indians also brought their very own vibrant, colorful, and aromatic authentic dishes for the people in the West. While most of the Indian population is Vegetarian, Indian food is great for people who are looking for vegan or vegetarian food option. If you are a Meat lover, don't get disappointed yet. Indian food also boasts of some popular non-vegetarian dishes too. Few examples are the famous Butter Chicken, Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Chicken are enough to satisfy your taste buds.
Indian food has gained reputation all over the world especially in the United States. You can find many places serving the appetizing Indian food across all major cities in the US. India is a diverse country with different food culture originated from different parts of the country. While the Northern region boasts tandoori dishes and korma offering royal taste, the Western Ghats offers sea foods that is made in naturally sweet tender coconut milk. The South Indian food servers a quality of different dishes made from rice accompanied with spicy chutneys, curries and famous sambhar. Also, the Indian sweets are a delight to relish. If you ever want to have a burst of sugar syrup in mouth, don't forget to try few Bengali Sweets. Be it spicy, tangy, or sweet flavor, you can find everything in the Indian cuisine. Be assured that the melody of spices will surely bring delight to you.

(5)Ming H.
(2)Aparna T.

(4)Brian K.
(4)Aileen D.

(5)Anil C.
Rice is not cooked, curries have no salt. Veg biryani has no veggies at all, looks like yellow rice. 1 star is because the chicken tikka masala is better than others. Won't go again.
(1)Vince C.
(4)Guadalupe L.
(5)Justin S.
(4)Mary M.
(5)Brad C.

(4)Jennifer S.
(4)kristine a.

(4)Geoff S.
(4)Rani N.
Awesome lunch buffet! Staff is friendly, and welcoming!
(5)Will M.
(3)Jai R.
(1)Dena F.
(5)amanda a.
Good food, decent sized lunch buffet. Their garlic naan is really good! They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from. It's a small place but it's still a good place if you're looking for your quick Indian food fix.
(4)Tom B.
(3)Kathleen H.
(4)J P.

(4)Angie N.
(4)Vi N.
(3)W L.
(2)Dave G.
they have a good selection of items that are kept fresh and the nan flavors are a nice change. Only issues is they every time I have been there it seems lik the same choices it would be nice if they were to change it up every now and then
(4)Steve P.
LOL
(3)MM M.
(2)Camille G.
Their website says they deliver to a limited area. I called and asked and they said they didn't deliver. I even told them I lived one block away and they said no, They were very polite, but I specifically needed a place that delivers and they wasted my time by falsely advertising delivery.
(1)Anthony H.
I enjoyed the lunch buffet last time I was here and also the garlic naan was delicious
(4)Priyabal J.
(1)Amy K.
(3)Peter P.
Service was pretty good and so was food. Reasonable price for dinner. Lots of authentic Indian flavors, I should know, I'm from New Hampshire.
(4)Adam K.
great food, been here many times. But if u order an iced tea- they only have sugar, no equal or sweet and low. Weird, huh?
(4)Machka V.
If I could give less than one star, I would. There's nothing quite like the experience of finding a dead cockroach in your food! I will NEVER eat there again.
(1)Robert H.
(2)Emberwild T.
Great lunch buffet with plenty of veggie options for your freaky non-meat eating friends. They also treat you with fresh from the oven regular or garlic naan with the lunch buffet special.
(4)Lance H.

(4)Michelle G.
Went there for lunch, and decided to pass on the $10 buffet and get a meal to take out. For $14.99, I thought for sure there would be enough for lunch and dinner. But there was barely enough food to fill me up at lunch. Way too expensive for the very little they give you.
(2)Danny E.
(3)Joyce S.
Great Chana masaala. Dal was a little bland. GREAT service, very nice people & lots of food. Would definitely eat there again.
(4)Christina K.
(4)Russell P.
(5)Leona B.
Excellent food and very friendly service! We were looking for an Indian food place, and this is now our Indian food place.
(5)Brad K.
(5)josh K.
(2)Jam T.
You rarely find North Indian food this good but little expensive.....right amount of spices but don't forget to mention your preference to them............trust me as I'm a North Indian.
(4)Tee T.
Digging on the tikka masala and korma. I love the Bollywood music videos that are playing on in the background! Will definitely be back!
(4)Veronica O.
(5)Mac C.
Food was just ok, our waiter was attending his cell phone as he was taking and delivering our food which was a bit dry but considering it an ok place to eat.
(3)Luke W.
It's okay... they have a typical Indian lunch buffet for under $10.00 to accommodate us Indian food novices. I go back to get my Indian fix every now and again, but always leave slightly unsatisfied . I can't put my finger on it.
(3)rosalind p.
I am an Indian snob when it comes to food. I am always inquiring where the best indian places are and trying all of them! This is by far one of the best indian restaurants I've ever eaten at. Good lord is the food tasty and so so fresh and I've only tried the buffet! just plain YUM!
(5)Jasberry H.
(4)Nicole O.
(5)Antoni H.
Excellent Indian food. Would recommned the samosas, tikka massala, naan, and mango kulfi for dessert. I go here everytime I'm in town. friendly service too.
(5)andrew a.
I can't imagine an Indian giving this place a positive review. Tandoori chicken tasted like raw chicken, everything else was bland. I saw a guy try to dine and dash on a scooter. I felt like doing the same. first time I couldn't stand to leave a tip in years.
(1)Nick V.
This place is good for some quick delicious Indian food. The atmosphere is nice, albeit small, and the service is good. I highly recommend the paneer and the chicken tikki masala dipped with fresh baked garlic naan.
(4)Wendy P.
Where is this place????? Phone number listed is either incorrect or this place has closed.
(1)Michellea D.
(4)De Z.
(4)Alicia L.
(4)KELLEY C.
i was happy to find this place within range of my work, for my weekly lunch splurge.
(4)Heina D.
(4)Busy M.
(3)JASMINE C.
The food was FANTASTIC!!! I will defintely come back!! The food was very fresh and the price is right!
(5)Kristine M.
(5)Tony D.

(4)n d.
(4)Jo M.
Tandoori is now a buffet for $8.95. Even though they changed to a buffet, they did not downgrade in quality. Quality is good, meat is fresh and they switch up a couple of the dishes to add variety. Service is good.
(5)Natalie P.
(5)Jukka P.
I've been coming here for about 3 years now. The lunch buffet is good, but I really love their chicken tikka masala. It is one of the best I've had across quite a few cities and countries. Otherwise the price and speed of the service are good, although a lot of the time I end up ordering take-away.
(5)Evan S.
(3)Linh L.
(4)Alvaro V.
(5)Adam A.
(2)Roohi B.
Went for lunch with coworkers. The buffet line was super short and we ate so much! The chicken is cooked well and the desserts are so delicious. I will be going again and telling my friends about this place!!
(4)Timothy B.
(5)Shane C.
(1)Diana P.
I Love This place! The Food is Always GOOD! The Price & Service is Fair. The Atmosphere is Casual The Place is a bit Small... SO you are Lucky to find a Good Seat.
(4)Sean R.
(3)Ona T.
You can't beat a better deal on Bristol Blvd, for $9.99 my cheap ass people reading this right now. The quality of the food is like your moms cooking. Btw it ends at 4pm on the dot, so don't be planning things last minute.
(3)Amy V.
sister recommended this place. she said it's worth it for $10 ayce lunch. it's from 11-4pm. it was a small table of food but got me pretty full. there's like 5 different curries and I took a picture of the 3 I liked the most. I didn't like the 2 desserts they had. one was carrot pudding and the other was in a ball. there was a salad section but I was too full from the curry and fried rice to eat it. pretty good rice and curry! it was worth it for $10
(4)Matt M.
Can't beat the lunch buffet! You know you're in a good Indian Restaurant when you see so many Indians eating there! Love this place. Very friendly, always eager to make sure you have what you need. Prompt, courteous and DELISHISH!
(5)Al Z.
(4)Danielle I.
(3)Bryan O.
(2)D R.
Anyone going to an Indian buffet and expecting good food...sigh. That being said, order off the menu, always. The Chicken Tikka Masala is great but the Malai Kofta is a must have! The garlic naans are prefect here. Of all the Indian restaurants in OC this is one of the better ones.
(5)Aditya P.
Horrible service skills. You can't have such a bad attitude toward customers if you're trying to run a food business.
(1)David B.
Not the best selection of food they only offer a few chicken dishes and the rest is vegetarian. The chicken tiki masala was very watery and the rice was kinda hard
(3)Dheeraj H.
Great food, enough parking. thali combo option for those who prefer combo over a la carte. Weekend buffet is excellent spl. Rice pilaf.
(4)S D.
(4)Catherine P.
(5)Richard W.
Good food. I come here for the lunch buffet.
(5)Mar O.
Excellent Indian! I always compare Indian food to this place. But this place always wins. The owner always remember what we order, their chicken tandoori and lamb tikka masala. The masala sauce is to die for.
(5)Hiren P.
The food was okay, very cozy place. 3 stars for customer service only which was good part.
(3)Dan C.
(4)Nea R.
(4)Poe H.

Thank you!
(5)Bilal J.
The buffet here is not worth the price only because the taste is well below average. The chicken masala or anything else is no good.
(1)Sam A.
(3)Ashley S.
(5)Moppi X.
(3)Gabby B.
(4)Sara Y.
(4)Rob D.
(3)Jennifer L.
(5)Paras D.
(5)Mit D.
Worst ever, they use so much color in curies that my fingers turned into orange color after 25 years
(1)Hanna P.
(4)Sarah L.
(1)B L.
(5)Alicia M.
(3)Nikki N.
(4)James L.
(2)M O.
(2)James B.
(2)Christine J.
(4)Yash M.
(4)Julia H.
(1)Ky Y.
(5)John J.
There aren't many Indian food places in the Newport Beach / Costa Mesa area, so it's great to find one this solid. Their lunch buffet is a steal, and dinner is great without being too expensive. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but the food makes up for it unless you're going for more formal.
(5)Jonathan G.
(3)Kaitlyn G.
YUMMY! I couldn't get enough. After I was full I still wanted more! If you want good service and awesome Indian food, GO HERE! Thanks guys/gals love this place!
(5)Anand A.
(4)Pete E.
(4)Chee Hin O.
The spiciness is good for me.
(4)Simone R.
Amazing Indian food! I would recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Service was exceptional constantly checking up on us and making sure we had everything we needed and everything was tasting perfectly.
(5)Sal H.
(5)Aravind K.
-good vegetarian options -tried palak paneer, aloo mutter, awesome! -reasonably priced -friendly staff; they know about what they cook! Would go again!

Great Indian food. My favorite in the South Coast area. Highly recommended. Butter chicken, lamb tikka misala, and garlic naan are my favorite items on the menu.

Its a small restaurant with a strong kick of flavors. My roommate and I randomly walked in sine the crave for the Nan kicked in. Their food is delicious. Services was nice and timely. There were several dishes that, other tables ordered, captured my interest to no end. I almost wanted to walk over there with a fork and dive in. Like most people, we stuck to the Tikimasala and Yellow Curry. Both dishes tasted sublime. Onion and Garlic Nan topped it rather well. Couldn't stop laughing at my friend since he down a good spoon full of chili thinking it was mild. :P If your in the area, swing by for some flavors. I would have given it 5 stars if it was a little bit more tasteful in terms of décor.

The 9.95 lunch is such a great deal for good Indian food. You definitely get your money's worth.

(2)Sully S.

(5)Cheryl N.

Tandoori India Cuisine is one of several restaurants and cafés nestled together on the corner of Bristol and Sunflower next to South Coast Plaza. It's small, but serves up a pretty decent lunch buffet. I came here for my occasional chicken-of-many-colors Indian food fix and wasn't disappointed. The buffet features the ubiquitous tandoori chicken along with chicken tikka, chicken masala and chicken curry. Reds, yellows, oranges and greens. Lots of colors, tons of great taste. As other Yelpers have pointed out, there also seems to plenty of vegetarian choices, but the chicken dishes really were too good to pass on just for curried lentils. (Although I did enjoy the mushroom curry.) Service was good, too. Responsive and attentive. Always kept my water glass filled. I appreciate that. Especially since I was sweating so darned much from the lack of AC. Which brings me to my only "complaint" -- the temperature of the place. Yes, I know it was noon on a hot day, but c'mon, turn the air-conditioning on. I even sat by the open door to take advantage of any potential breeze, but was still sweating like crazy. Not something I want to do while I'm trying to enjoy a meal. Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Price: 4/5 Ambiance: 1/5 (Because it was so bloody hot in there from the lack of AC.)
(4)Diane V.

(4)Edda Z.

Good location, clean, busy, friendly. Good food. A little high on the price but not really outlandish or anything. Great garlic naan.

-One of the good places for spicy Indian food in Orange County,CA. -Buffet-They have lunch Buffet only for just $9.95 per person all days from Monday-Sunday. No dinner Buffets, however you can order a-la-carte for dinner. -Their specialty: Naan(Plain/Garl

(4)Yaz A.
I've been to this place since 2012 and still good.
(4)Tres K.
I love Indian food, and I love this place. The prices are reasonable. They have great vegetarian options. I don't understand why it isn't packed ever time I come. Come check this place out. I don't want to see it go away.
(5)Chris M.

I don't usually eat a big lunch but today I was craving Indian and came to the closest restaurant . I'm glad I found this place, they had a very good selection for their buffet and best of all the food tasted fresh. Staff is very friendly too. I'll be back,
(5)Tina T.
Delicious food, very reasonable prices, good service, we love coming here after a South Coast Repertory performance, to discuss the play. Love the onion bhaji, the Mushroom Masala, and the Bhindi Masala. Great nan, too. Not a fancy place, but excellent food.
(5)Parath C.

(3)Denise M.
Love this place complex flavors and seasonings plus dishes are made fresh. This is worth the visit and it's a regular in our dining out list. It's not fancy for dining but a cut above fast food. Food is cooked like a full service resturant.
(4)Jessica A.

(5)Diana S.
Garlic naan and very yummy lunch buffet! Was quite lovely! Every thing was good, customer service was slightly slow but everything was good and I will return.
(5)Michael F.
Wow... Good stuff... This place is tasty. Butter chicken with mushroom masala and buffet style lunch... You can't beat that with a bat.
(4)Ravi J.

Really yummy Indian food- huge selection, excellent service, nice atmosphere, and surprising inexpensive. Highly recommend!
(5)David H.
(5)Ronak G.
We were starving after a round of golf and had the appetite of kings (which we complimented with king fisher LOL) Delicious food, great spice levels, and good menu selection..will definitely be coming back
(5)Y M.
Excellent location. Seating arrangement is fairly ok. However, food and service was below average.
(1)Stephanie I.
(5)Samuel T.
(1)Gabriel S.
(5)Jorge L.
My go to place when i am craving Indian food. The food is authentic and filling. i recommend getting a side of naan with your meal. Warning you will get hooked on Bollywood movies and shake your head to the music after you stare at the TV for 20 min.
(4)Ananda K.
This restaurants food is fresh and tasty We had disco naan and madras mushroom it was awesome the food is worth the price the service was pretty good they are polite and friendly we will definitely visit again
(4)Lannie N.
(3)David E.
(5)Eric Z.
The quality of the buffet food was not too good but we did come at the end of the buffet. Mango lassi wasn't sweet enough and the naan was too thin and crispy not fluffy like I usually enjoy. Would rather go to the Peruvian restaurant next door. Staff was friendly.
(3)Eric V.
(3)Annie D.
(3)JR D.
(5)Erika H.
(4)Adam N.
New owners are great. Friendly, on point and have a great chef back there cooking up all the Indian classics. $10 for all you can eat all day, and it comes with fresh garlic naan on the house. You can't go wrong with this place, come try it!
(4)Leo B.
(4)Crystal W.

Very tasty food. We tried many different selections ,and enjoyed them all. Great services also. I will be going back.

But $10 for an all you can eat is quite a deal and I would definitely be coming back here.

so I'm not a huge Indian food person (this was my 2nd time ever having) the food had good flavor goin down, service was ok. however, fast forward a few hours and i was not feeling so hot. not to get graphic but i was down for the count. i wouldn't have even added this in, but my bf was feeling the exact same way. . . be prepared

Lunch buffet is great! Some of the best Indian food I've found in Orange County. Great service as well.
